Their assessment, not mine, of course, but I think they're relying on the fact that a high proportion of their customers will tick the boxes on pretty much any option that gives them extra bragging rights, regardless of whether they actually need it or how much benefit they get for the money - hence the fact they do so well on carbon bling.

With Reynolds tubing my Caterham could now match the technological sophistication of my 1980's push bike.

A carbon monocoque and one of these is what is required smile

No I'm not, but don't forget the release came from GMcD who claimed the start of proper innovation and the end of parts-bin-specials when he ascended to the throne!

Nail. Head. Hit.

It's not stock control software they need, it's stock.

...and to purchase stock, they need cashflow.

Which means stopping fking around with mis-conceived, money-absorbing vanity projects, so that they've got enough in the bank to pay their suppliers. Same goes for Westfield at the moment: both companies are playing a very dangerous game.

Do we think the new 310 is the "ultimate product"?

Nigel can you confirm?

If it is I'm a little disappointed to say the least. Lovely spot in the range and very desirable, but probably falls well short of what I'd call an 'ultimate seven product'.

Just you wait. It's (the ultimate seven product) in fact a manual. A manual that we've been waiting years and years for. Wooooooooooooooooo! /sarcasm.

Don't be silly! It's the LED headlights!

Seriously though I suspect it IS the ultimate product referred to, they are talking it up on their website as if it is something really special. If so its a bit OTT, but I suspect it is the sweet spot in the range.

I'd encourage you to read Nigel's post only three or four above mine. It is a manual. No, really. A manual. Look at it this way. At least it's not a folly product like a bamboo and witchcraft GT4 concept that will never make it past demo stage.

I read the word "next" and assumed it was just that. Damn my woeful skim-reading skills.

Quite.

They've still got about £50 of mine from over 2 years ago that I paid for an item showing as in stock. I could have tried harder to get my money back but found it difficult to speak to anybody who knew how to process a refund.
