Got black flagged at a recent trackday because I was loosing fuel onto the track. Cant understand how this is happening or how to cure it, Ive checked the tank for leaks/splits and all seems fine. Whats my next plan of action?

Mine did this on a track day too and it turned out to be the gasket for the sender unit on top of the fuel tank had gone. Since I replaced it everything has been ok.

Worth a check/look for sure.

In my day it commonly came out of the breather hose on a fullish tank on track days. Solution is to run it with low fuel or put a longer breather pipe that runs up the rear stay for the roll bar and back down again IYSWIM.

Have a look at this Caterham workshop notice.

This may be the cause.

Yes that's the problem I was talking about. The way I described it saved faffing with a pipe down the side of the tank, but is much more visible!

Thanks for that guys, I was beginning to think that I needed a new tank!
