I have cut two air vents in the front foot wells, which I can open and close, it's great for cooling your feet down, and preventing your trainers from melting. One of my front air scoops provides the air flow to them.

Air scoop on left provides the airflow
Interesting - more pics please. Do you get more footroom too? Do you have to restrict the lock? Did you make the scoops yourself?

Hopefully this isn't as crazy an idea as the aircon in a seven thread.
That thread wasn't crazy, it was a perfectly reasonable discussion about a possible way to broaden a Seven's appeal to some (whilst admittedly, being sacrilege to others!).

I sort of agree with these sentiments. I think one of the appeals of a Seven is it's so easy to work on, you can make it your own. Mine has no heater, but I have often wondered about installing two simple ducts, one for cool air and one for warm. Mine has three 12V sockets, added by the previous owner to make an autocom and satnav useable, but is still bare alu in the cabin because racecar. I think the mark of a good modification is one that embraces the ethos of a Seven, while improving the experience for the owner. Thin heated seat pads to drive it in the winter, or a bitterly cold backside/not doing for a drive. Surely that's a no brainer?

I could do with something like that to cool my feet in my Sigma 140. If the temp is above 25 C, my feet get very very warm after around 10 minutes on track. So much so that in very hot weather my session length is determined by how much my feet can take rather than the tyres!

I have seen a Seven where the owner just plumbed in a forward facing tube to the footwell. Airflow is controlled by a sink plug, the type you push to close/open. He does this with his foot. Neat!

That's what I did, using a pipe to feed both feet vents, all fed from the left scoop.
The other feeds the 310 bhp Honda k20 engines ATT throttle bodies.
The scoops are carbon and made by Reverie for the the 7 not cheap, but I prefer them to a big air box out the side
I'm in Spain 30 degrees, and on track my race boots get extremely hot, And the vent completely removes all that heat.
Not having to interfere with anything in the car. Just runs down the inside of the panels. And flexes round anything so prevents having to remove or change anything

Here's another pic

No extra space just a vent cut in the floor below pedals, the pipe is fed from scoop direct to vent, which I slide open or closed with my foot. Simple but effective

Yes that's the one. Has been completely re built by Bourne racing.
