Have any of you been on any of the Goodwood track days and did you have issues with the noise restrictions? I'm local to Goodwood and I've placed my deposit for a 360R, but not sure whether I'll get away with the standard side exit exhaust or whether I'll need the rear exit. Have any of you had issues with noise restrictions on track days?

Thanks

I would have thought a 360R on a standard exhaust would be fine. My Sigma 140 on the standard (non-repackable) exhaust was measured at 91db on a trackday last year. If you had throttle bodies on there you may have issues with induction noise, but with the standard airbox I would have thought you'd be ok. Goodwood is 98db isnt it? Thruxton has the lowest limit I've seen, even my 7 would struggle there.

I'd wait for some other Duratec owners to comment first, but I'm pretty sure you'll be ok - the rear exit exhaust is a pretty recent option. smile

I've not been round Goodwood yet but have been on the brands hatch evening sessions where the sound limits are reasonably low, likewise Bedford autodrome. possibly a bit higher limits than Goodwood but not by much and I was fine all day on all occasions I've been. Mines got the same air box / exhaust configuration as yours and to be honest it's pretty quiet. I personally think you'll be just fine. It's the induction that usually causes the problem and the sealed air boxes on the standard Duratec does a pretty good job of keeping the noise down.

Goodwood have two different noise limits depending on how many cars they're running from conversations I've had with them in the past. Might be worth checking which it is on the day you're attending.
