IMO Blatchat has been completely ruined by ineffective (insufficient at the RIGHT time) and inappropriate (too much at the WRONG time) moderation over the last few years, so I'm wondering whats going on that the need is felt to visit this particular area of PH.

Some suggestions (but not opinions) might be:

They've realised just how dull the L7C has become under current leadership?
Policy improvement?
Thinly disguised membership recruitment?

Or membership is running out and they can't see the point of spending £40 for a mag and the ability to post on blatchat biggrin

Hi Arnie,

Good to speak one to one last night, I hope the info I shared with you on my new car helped you out.

Do you have evidence of posts being changed by moderators here on Pistonheads then?

I would be very interested to hear about that.

Nige.

Personally I think the £40 I spend on the L7C is good value for money. In fact the only person I have ever heard b1tching about the club, its mods and the forum is you. You obviously have some personal issues with one or some of the members there.

I somewhat agree, too much intervention over there with some who probably enjoy the 'power' a tad too much.

Mav doesent count because he's sound. Blatchat has gone up its own arse as far as I can see, far too incestuous and cliquey.

Just for clarification, I was not for one moment suggesting there is any link between the moderators of Blatchat and the moderation of Blatchat. The moderation of PH is much more subtle and effective than that of Blatchat, thus preventing the out of control and very personal situations which have effected that forum.

Arnie...I only come over here to see what trouble you're causing tongue out Hope you're keeping well.

Maybe I don't Blatchat enough now because I haven't paricularly noticed any moderation going on, or maybe that's your point (I won't open the old can of worms) wink

I agree the club has changed in character a bit from the 'good ole days'...but maybe I'm just wearing my rose coloured specs when I think back cool

I joined the Lotus 7 Club before Blatchat existed and will remain a member - no matter what Blatcht does or doesn't do.

Perhaps you'd like to spell out what you do mean then Arnire, just so I don't misunderstand, or are you saying I'm not supposed to frequent this forum?

I just happened to post on the R500 threads because I had / have 1st hand experience of the new car. There is little discussion of the new car on BC with the exception of Nigels threads.

Fastcello's car was in the final throws of build when I was at the factory a couple of weeks ago, and seeing his post I thought I'd make comment about how nice it looked, and how much I hope he enjoys it.

I'm not going to be drawn into a discussion on BC and the whys and where fores, suffice to say that over time, things change. Not necessarirly for the better, and simialrly not always for the worse, things are just different.

As to you thinking I'm on a membership drive - I'm not. I've not once posted on here about joining the club.

Neither am I looking for pointers on how moderate Blatchat...

If people would rather I don't post here, I won't, but I will keep reading...
