I have probably been a Caterham owner and contributor to all that is Caterham ownership related than many of them could ever dream to aspire too, and sadly far too many of them are just frustrated aluminum polishers, or worse still arm chair critics who don't even own a Caterham.
Yeah, because you're so much better than everybody else aren't you? Pick your toys up and put them back in the pram and grow up.

This is ace! All you Caterham boys (yes I do have one) are SOOOOOO two faced. When Mr Ali says something you dont like its....CC are rubbish, the salesmen are horrible, they never do anything for us etc etc and yet when someone outside the clan dares to utter anything other than praise all hell breaks loose and things get personal. I mean come on, a comment about an internet forum going down (again) albeit the owners club site doesn't need to be met with such comments like "I'm not sure why you are bothering to build an R500 then.." and "If you dont like the club dont bother to renew your membership..." I mean come on, hardly the warm and freindly welcome is it.
Seems to me that Nige has bought the car he wanted, the best that Caterham offer and has made the effort to get invloved in a positive way only to be met by a bunch of bloomin renegades that apparently dont like CC anyway. Should he be bothered. Not a bit. Leave the beards/renegades and morons to it Nige, I had the same feeling when I got my car. Made a few posts, got met with patronising and slightly negative replies so haven't bothered since. Does it really mean that just cos the club isn't as outwardly friendly as it would like to think it is that I should not consider owning and enjoying a Caterham 7 because I dont like the club? Now who mentioned toys and pram....?

From his earliest postings about his R500 he was moaning about the site and the lack of enthusiasm for his car. He's clearly worked hard to buy it which is great but to expect the members on Blatchat to break out the prayer mats and start chanting "we're not worthy" is risible. He's continued to make derogatory remarks and then wonders why people haven't gone out of their way to help him. He clearly wants to be the centre of attention and when he's not he throws a fit. He needs to realise that the club and Blatchat are both fantastic things to be members of but, as with so much in life, you get out what you put in. The fact he got little apart from apathy speaks volumes.

^No completely wrong, people are helping him (from what I can see) they are the same people who arent full of righteous indignation probably because they know what he is going through.

You are not still arguing about this are you?
Life is too short for petty arguments like this.
So Nigel made somecomments other people did not like... Isn't that part of life?

Guys Guys Guys,

Agreed look at us bickering and fighting, when the sun is shining and you all should be out enjoying your cars.

Sadly I will not be doing that for some time as the problem with my engine looks like it is serious enough for it to go back to the factory now.

Anyway as previously said, can we just forget this and move on.

I have said my piece over on Blatchat and that's all I want to say about that for now.

So lets stop getting all personal and move on.

Thanks,

Nige.

Putting my soap box session aside I'm sorry to hear it's serious for the engine to go back to CC. Hope they resolve it quickly and without fuss.

Hey Noger,

This thread leads me to consider the value of rejoining the Lotus Seven Club if the £40 membership fee does not include an acceptable SLA regarding the availbility of Blatchat.

Nigel, I think no differently of you regardless of your opinions and comments.

And as for the Chairman acting in the best interests of those concerned or listening to the membership I'm ROTFL.....If it doesn't float his boat, he may as well not be listening.

Nigel, I'm no longer a member of blatchat as I frankly find it tedious in the extreme and couldn't justfiy spending 40p on a membership, still I do occassionally visit if I want some free advice. So I saw your post about your oil pressure issue and was a bit confused why you didn't save yourself the hassle and make CC pick the car up and sort it out, it's a lot of effort to remove the engine when it might be a quick fix to resolve it?
