People have car meets for no particular reason all the time. What’s wrong with having a meet with a theme? Esp if its for charity.

Everyone obsesses about power to weight on here yet is disparaging when people actually take an interest in what their car weighs.

If it was just a ‘7’ meet no one would have batted an eyelid.

Not everyone wants or even likes these cars but you cannot argue that they are not purists machines and great bang for buck – as a collective we should be supportive!

(Keeps quiet about the TVR meet he went to where someone bought a db meter to see how loud TVR really are)

a lot of stuff...
and Caterhams are basically ultimate performance, fun, feeling, experience, sensation, result.
Er no I'm afraid not. Caterhams used to be the trackday secret weapon 10 years ago, but we've moved on since then.

Bert
whats the trackday secret weapon now then that offer the above stated by matt frost
radicals and cars with more sophisticated suspension and in some cases aero....

Although I own a Caterham I fully acknowledge that it's a very crude, dated bit of kit, albeit a lot of fun and still pretty quick, although as Bert says, there are quicker things out there. But, bang for your buck, I think they're not bad!
You are getting into something totally different. I never stated Caterhams were the fastest thing on earth and never mentioned track either. Radicals are certiainly ahead of Caterham on circuit. I commented on the Saxo vs Caterham debate.

Radical and Caterham are in the same class of car really - i.e. a different class to a hatchback. My point proven basically. They are incomparable.

I agree with the above final comment. How can anyone compare driving a saxo to a caterham .... its not about the design ethos, its about the driving experience and, in that world, they are poles apart.

This event is now open to all types of 7's (this doesn't incluse Saxo's ;o)

Over half the available spaces are now booked/reserved.

This event is all for charity.
100% of the proceeds will go to St Lukes Cancer Charity!
Breakfast and a lunchtime BBQ are being provided FoC (althought there will be a collection tin located nearby).

The venue is covered so the weather will not be a problem,

Ever wondered what your 7 weighs?
Now is the chance to find out with a full corner weighing session!
