Seem to be a few of us on here so i thought i would start this thread for everyone to say hi, (saves us hi jacking the build thread). So dont be shy. I have finished my build just waiting for SVA date (they lost my paperwork, but thats civil servants for you, they are buisy running the country after all!).

Has anyone recieved anything from Caterham about seminar day date / race licence?

The seminar is on the 6th December at Caterham Midlands I think.

Hi, I received an email from Kim at Caterham confirming date for the seminar at Midlands as Sat 6 Dec. I am picking my car up on Saturday! All the best with your build, see you at the seminar, cheers Mark

Hello all

I'm half way though my build at the moment - hardest part seems to be finding the time to get anything done! My girlfriend is away this weekend however, so i get to spend some quality time torquing my nuts.

I do have a large stack of photos I've been taking, I'll upload them all to Flickr or something tonight so they can hopefully prove useful to someone!

Try www.blatchat.com for tech guidance, I found it a pretty good resource when building mine. Well, better than the manual anyway...

I'm waiting for my SVA too, Caterham are going to do it for me - they can also try and get my drivers seat in because I can't do it!!!

Anyone got a trailer yet?

Best of luck to you all, I did the Academy a few years ago now , and had a great time , I am sure that Kim & Nick will do a grand job of looking after you all.

going through the garrage last night I found a few Caterham bits I had left over , drop me a line if any of them might be of use to you , just looking for the cost of postage & a few beer vouchers (say 50% of what caterham would charge you)

Front anti roll bars
1 x stiffest (Green)for the dry
1 x softest (Orange)for the wet
IMHO the only other one you need is Red

Tonneau cover without seat ears
great if you want to run without doors

1/2 door trimmed to fit accademy cage
ideal to use with tonneau

SPA race mirrors with U bolt adapted to fit accademy cage

if any of you want to have a chat with some one who has been there before drop me a line .

I am sure you will have a blast

should go for the r300. We've got spa. No monaco mind. Have to admit the old academy diary didn't look as good as it has done. Last years did Oulton, Donington, Brands and Silverstone. RSA which was my first year last year was also the nuts.
