Hi Guys,

anyone use these loggers and can give an opinion on use... ease of set-up and use of teh data/software etc ??

is the laptimer ok - as i gather it uses position rather than picing up from beacon ?

gear indicator work well etc etc ??

thanks in advance....

Had one for 3 months, they don't like moisture at all. More suitable for a tin top. Its a lot of unctions for the price, it works of gps so is not that accurate compared to other systems but then it's cheap. Gear inidcatto not always right as it works of gps speed/rpm to work out, you have to imput box ratios on setup.

It eventually packed up and DT took it back no problem, top lads. Have gone to Stack now.

I am sure they do a propelry sealed pro version which takes external inputs.

Think of it as a DL1 with a christmas tree attached.

thanks..

i thought the DL1 was supposed to be a very reliable/robust system though...

Have struggled to get any positive feedback on the G2X so will probably leave that option...

I've a DL1 - although it's used in a tin-top I've a few 7 owning pals who also use the DL1 without fault.

Used the GX2 in a tin-top race car a couple of years back & it worked for the first 9 hours or so of a 24hr race - and then gave up the ghost - could have been a dud but I'd have thought solid-state stuff should just keep on working. furious

It is cheaper than the DL1, and you get the dash display too, but I guess this is a case of you get what you pay for - the DL1 plus dash is a fairly good deal at the moment too - and is designed to work in single-seaters/open cars.
