Does anyone know this R300 for sale?

Hi all,

I have recently started to consider a caterham as a trackday car. Ideallly I only wanted to spend max of about £12k however I have noticed this in the classifieds. I'd be grateful for people's thoughts re is it priced right or if anyone knows anything else about the car.

I don't know this particular car but the best priced R300 I saw before Christmas was 16k with 20k miles. That however was a private sale and therefore cheaper.

For a dealer price i'd say that's not bad. Caterham would probably have that car up at around the 21k mark. A private sale price for that car would probably be around 18k.

For what its worth;

They had a r300 for sale (geen and yellow) for approx 2k over what the owner was asking for in November last year.

This particualr one has been up for sale since last year. Its also on Autotrader and I'm sure they'll do a part ex or a deal..

ps - from what I understand from the "Caterham massive" all Caterhams are (almost) equally as good as eachother around the twisty bits and its the straight where the power difference comes into play... so for your budget you might consider the 1.6
