Any recommendations for CR500 tyre pressures on my 13" diameter, 8" rear and 6" front wheels for my Superlight R?

I've always run ACB10's (at 16psi front, 18psi rear) but I'm wondering if the different construction of the CR500s warrants a change.

Road use only initially by the way. smile

I'd start at 18psi cold all round and adjust from there. 'official' verdict is 20psi but we all know that's too much, particularly as the roads are still cold.

About time you bought some decent tyres Mr C. I run mine at 18psi cold - 16 is probably OK for track but you'd not be as stupid as to use them on track would you?

BTW I drove Caterham Cars' R300 at Brands the other week - lovely car, well balanced, a beaut in fact.

nono An upcoming roadtrip with the possibility of rain and a glance at some :ahem: well worn ACB10s had me looking around for something with grooves in. winkhehe

Still on slicks for the track. cool

good condition ACB10s are a nightmare on the road, let alone worn ones.

I am planning to use Cr500s for wet track use this year (when I finally get my arse into gear and get trackdaying...)

Is there a better tyre for wet track/road use (13 inch wheels etc etc)?
