Hi guys,

Can anyone tell me the correct name for the upper horizontal suspension arm on a S3..

Why did Caterham change this design ? anyone know of a good information source, I guess there is no way tuning the front front suspension....

Cheers

Do you mean the upper wishbones?

As for tuning, the suspension on the car is adjustable, so you can set camber, caster, toe, ride height (with adjust. dampers) etc. Or you can fit wide track? What are you looking at doing?

Or are you talking about something else?

The official story is that they changed the design because as tyres got gripper and brakes got bigger over the years, the original design where the anti-roll bar doubles up as a suspension link wasn't stiff enough.

Separate anti-roll bar does make for easier suspension tuning, too, though.

Thanks guys, its is the top link I was looking for .... I didnt find it on the caterham website.

Its very much like the original lotus ideas of the 50's with the 11 and 15....

That's because the original Seven was based on the Eleven's chassis. wink
