Hood questions!

I fixed the halfhood plus today. I'm leaving it on for a couple of days to see how how much rain can com through the small gaps between the doors and the hood. I'm guessing the normal hood should be better, but it's simply a pain to get up in colder weather.

My Half Hood was used in anger for the first time on Friday night. What seemed like a very pleasant, surprisingly warm night, rapidly turned to a very damp one. I nipped into a service station and the hood did exactly what it says on the tin: less 30 seconds to put up and perfectly waterproof sat there on the forecourt. A small amount of moisture did make its way round the back, but after 20 minutes in persistent rain I had a small patch of slightly damp hair at the back of my head, rather than being soaked to the skin all over. I'd say that was a result given how incredibly quick and simple it was to put up. The windscreen did still mist up a little, but I didn't even think to turn the heated screen on, which would, presumably, have cleared it completely.

So might just stick with the Half Hood and some sort of additional cover for when it's parked. We shall see.
