So Fergus, are you dismissing the whole caterham racing fraternity as unqaulified to comment or just the grads?
Neither, just provoking the easily provoked. Back in your box now please. I think you're waiting for Stuart to come along and tighten your nuts on your behlaf? PS Stuart tightens nuts just great. You should try it. He might even give you some advice on your setup.;)

Anyone fancy a track day somwhere. Bit of fun, all have a chat hopefully about caterhams, nothing serious, few passenger rides with each other, learn a new track get some hours in.Instead of slagging each other off.
As long as everyone leaves their keyboards at home, there shouldn't be a problem sfaulds said:

I think everyone is almost in agreement aren't they?
The chap in the vid is having an excellent time and clearly has larger manly equipment than me. I've lapped the ring with a similarly nutcase driver in a very sideways Blackbird 7 which was an absolute hoot. We passed some cars whilst travelling sideways; not big or clever but hilarious - he was an ex rally driver and I'd seen him do this before. Plenty commitment, plenty fun. I've never driven my 7 anything like that fast at the Ring as I am scared of getting it wrong.
I also happen to race and indeed was racing a fastish 7 at the weekend at Brands. If the chap in front went sideways coming of Druids or Clearways I caught up and maybe passed him. It made for excellent crowd entertainment and got me back in the game, but it did lose time vs a different approach.
I love the video. I would not drive as fast as that at the Ring. I do reckon I could have the guy at Brands though. Nothing wrong with any of those things

Can we agree to end this thread on this excellent summary from James? PS still got the '4RS?

Mr. McC can 'vouch' for me.... I'm not trying to defend the driver, merely attempting to make the point that he's driving in a fairly comitted manner on a track which does not offer any run off. I can't put it any more objectively than that can I?
Mmmm, I think you're in danger of meeting me half way with that statement The Wookie said:

911? Ring? Snow? U got a link?!fergus said:
