Always amazed at how some track events in the UK seem to not require helmets! Looks like good use of the ZZRs.

Here is a shot of mine from a June blat:

Sean, it's because it's a fun day, not a race day.

My photos here are from when I was taking passengers out to show them the lines, and a little bit of fun too.

When I am out on my own, or with a passenger and we are pushing hard for a good time, I wear a helmet and insist that my passengers do too.

We do have a great day out at Curborough though!

Two blue Caterhams in action at Le Mans this weekend. R400 chasing a Superlight. Using all the track plus a bit...

For all my jesting Nigel your first photo a few months ago of the new wheels didn't do them justice but the car looks great in the latest pics. I have been tempted with a set of the "crystalline" finished ones for my car but slipped up having new wings bonded on the wing stays recently to suit my current 14's - hence a bit of a sorry wheel arch gap if swap down to 13's

No problem, people are normally moaning about, " oh no another shot of nigels R500 F1!"

I am very happy with them, i wanted something with a brighter shiny rim to set off the rest of the colours of the car, as the standard anthracite wheels look a bit grey and boring with my colour scheme !!

Ha, tell me, that colour scheme looks familiar, is it not the same as the Caterham F1 team....;) Indeed, I don't like the standard "superlight" wheels either, although I think they look better than they do in silver - just seems wrong for that style of wheel. I have found a split rim "minilite" from Image but then it's not a "factory" fit.

Nope I am not going to get drawn into that again! wink

Yes the lighter colours for wheels seems to suit the car better.

I suspect the image shelled you might be looking at were the same ones I looked at before CC brought my current ones out for the 620R.

These were also rumoured to be the wheels that were going to be fitted to the 620R but CC had a change of direction.

I forgot the guy who took those photos also took this one of the wheel close up.

I am very pleased with the way they look on my car now!

Fantastic smile We were there back in June, only had a Nissan Altima to potter round in so at least got to admire the scenery! the road that was most entertaining though was the squiggly bit of highway 120 heading east to Big Oak Flat. That would be hilarious fun in a 7 biggrin
