Well my time with this car seems to have come to an end after 18 months as I've just taken a deposit on it. Had lots of fun in that time, stripped and painted it from the faded dayglow yellow to Lambo Orange. Had a great adventure driving across Europe and back and spending a couple of months in the mountains of Gran Canaria.
For anyone interested in the whole IRS that Owain designed and built for this car, having owned two Duratec 500's before as well as racing Superlights a very very very long time ago, he created an amazing car. The traction on it is nothing short of transformed, bumps on B roads no longer make you change lane at interesting times yet it is still driftable, progressive and predicable (oh and comfortable for cross Europe trips like no other S3 I've driven, I'm getting old I know). Shame it never made it to production but I guess it would have made the CSR a more difficult sell and put the price of the R500 up more. Anyway, as a one of it is something fun and different to experience.
Off to sea for the next 2 to 3 years again and will then start looking for the next 7.

They are force racing split rims, lovely wheel and super light. Made in Yorkshire, really nice bloke and excellent service. Certainly recommend them to anyone, 13, 15 and 16 inch wheels available.
Are yours 15s? What width, tyres? Always thought 13s were the way to go but those do look good.Yes I now have proper centre caps with the 7 logo.
Mine are 15" x7 front with 195/5015 and 8 at the rear with 225/45/15 tyres. Personally I think 13" wheels are to small on a seven and do not agree with the 'wisdom'. The car was never designed for such small wheels with low profile tyres.
They do the same wheels in 13" if you prefer and can be ordered in any width and off set. The sprinters seem to use them a lot.

Wheel size depends a lot on your priorities, looks or handling.
Larger wheel can look better to some folks, but 13 are so much lighter , handle better, give you a wider choice or suitable tyres, and are what the car was designed with.
Sevens benefit from a higher profile tyre with a soft sidewall to give it some compliance and smooth the grip / slip transition.
There are very few tyres that are soft enough to work properly with the very low weight of a Seven, which is why Caterham commissioned a bespoke version of the Avon CR500.
My first Caterham I specified with 15" Prisoner wheels, after the first couple of track days I swapped to 13" and on my R400 that followed, I specified the 13" magnesium rims.
