More pics here. The red car has been in the states for a while, certainly the pics here are older

Hey guys, I'm doing the electrical work on the car right now. Been having a few issues with poor lambda control at idle so will be doing a fresh calibration on the pectel next. Car is fairly close to driving if we can get the engine calibration fixed up. The starter on the rst-v8 is also flaky and often requires a hammer tap before it kicks the solenoid out. Let me know if you have any questions. I'm just the engine/electronics guy and don't know the entire story on the car but it is a quite interesting car.

Cheers,
Preston

I'm the owner of a 21 (chassi 16) and I am intrigue how the bonnet is mounted.
Is it possible to have some pictures of the hinge?

Cheers

The hinge is mounted at the front in a gold/copper color. Was based on a pontiac solstice/saturn sky/opel GT hinge with modified geometry to accommodate as needed.

Just today came across a site in Germany were they sell or sold a Caterham 21 and had some nice pictures from a magazine with the 1 of 2? 21 GTO coupe's, just look at that one (last page the yellow coupe cloud9), what a lovely thing, they could have build more, super light and can be fast with a smal-ish engine.

yes its in German, but I thought sharing it here, its to good and not much news/items around the very rare Caterham 21, sadly all? only came in RHD and only a handful in full aluminium body.

That's funny, I have just watched a video on YouTube, featuring Jacks yellow 21, MLE, all about why the 21 was a failure. I had to agree with most of the points that were made, but it was still the basis of what could have been a great car with a little more development. In fact if they could have used the SV/CSR chassis it may have been a winner - we'll never know.

Your car still looks great Jack. Do you remember that blat over Stockland at 11.00 at night on your way down to see your uncle in Lyme Regis?
