Got the frame on a jig. Removed damaged tubes and brazing new tubes in place. Does anyone have information on the coil springs used on the lotus S4. Im looking for free length, no. coils, wire diameter, ID and OD.

Trying to email you via forum to ask if you still have this available. If so, please send me an email to rui.coelho(at)clublotusportugal.com Is to help a fellow member that had a big shunt in his beloved Seven S3 and needs to find an ilustrated parts list or something similar to identify the parts to buy. Regards

Hi all

Well i've put a few hundred miles on our lime green s4 this summer without too many problems. Just have a couple of issues to sort - oil leak from the oil breather elbow where it joins the engine block near the fuel pump - hopefully just a new gasket needed. More challenging is the difference in ride height at the back with the car sitting at a slight angle - probably a difference of 1.5 inches from passenger to drivers side. I'm struggling to work out why - the body seems to be sitting on the frame ok. Tempted to change the springs and shocks to adjustable height coilovers - any thoughts out there?

Hello to all the Lotus seven S4 owners,

I'm owner of a Hispano Aleman Mallorca, one of the 50 Lotus seven S4 solt to Ben Heiderich in 1972 (onliy were sold the chassis, body and front suspension from Lotus). In Madrid was installed the wonderful engine Seat 1430 and other parts from this Spanish brand. I'm looking for the side screen or doors for the Lotus seven S4. Could somebody help tome to find a pair of this sidescreen?

Thank you for your time.

Cant help with the sidescreens, but please show us some more photos of the Hispano. It looks different with the bumper and rollbar. Whats the bit on top of the windscreen? Sun visor or some part of the hood?

Thanks you for your Comments! The bit on top of the screen is a wind deflector because the first owner of the Hispano (I'm the second owner) was very tall and the wind stop in his head. The car has bumper in the front side and in the back side. The interior is recover by wood pieces as you can see.

If somebody knows where I can find the sidescreens I will be very grateful for the help

Not sure what area to post this in. Seven S4 parts, might need a windscreen frame and seats. Redline tells me not available. Is there a source for the windscreen surround frame (I think the side braces are there). Perhaps make a surround as the Locost builders are doing? Seats, are they on a wooden base or? Switches on the instrument panel. Look like the Europa window switches on the console. The panel switches on the Europa and Elan are different have no bezel around them. Where did the switches come from, what car? S4 heater, what car is it out of? Triumph Spitfire? I am in the USA, there are several cars I am looking at. Thanks for the information. Mr.vman

Hi Paul, thanks a lot for the documentation of your seat-project.

My seats were far more destroyed, when I found my S4. But I followed a good hint then, just to strip only one seat at a time and then replace and rework everything (which had been 95% in my case) and to have one complete seat for comparison for single steps and solutions. This worked fine and I did the whole job by myself with a very good result. It was difficult to source the (vinyl) material for the two "inlets" but I had luck after some phone calls.
By the way: You need different templates for the cardboards: The S4 is far away from being symmetrical! RHD: driver seat is narrower than passanger... believe it! I kept all templates and can copy if there is anyboda interested...

Cheers, Hajo
