You'll have to tell us about the first part once you've had your night, but as for the second part we've piled in a fair few grand more this year so it will actually cost us quite a bit more.

I doubt it, BTaP is 'new & improved' every year, and does what it says on the tin biggrin

A date you say? Yes, that would have been useful...

Sorry.

I expected that, hence surprised at the lack of comment smile

Honestly, the word magician gives the wrong impression. Think more edgy than that, certainly more contemporary. Best of all is the fact he won't be on stage demanding attention, instead he'll be amongst the crowd/ diners entertaining you if you so wish.
Sorry chap, just doesn't float my boat. I know some people love the Dynamo type thing, but it leaves me cold.

Still, mine is one opinion - doesn't mean that others wont love him. smile
Shut up Podie, you miserable tt

Thank you. If you mean the Griff lights then yes. If you mean the kitchen, then possibly not - my attempt to fulfil the specification of having lots of light to work by has translated in to 'will bring aircraft in'. The bulbs cost so much that we're thinking dark brown paint might be the solution hehe

This sounds like a great night and I'm sorely tempted to attend, dependant upon finding someone who wants to share the night smile

One thing that crosses my mind, my Black Tie attire is not a tailor made offering from Saville Row, I believe I may even have bought it at Matalan, will I have to sit in a corner on my own all night whilst everyone laughs at me? byebye

No. There is plenty to laugh at before you get to the provenance of the dinner suit. You will not even be noticed, unless you..

a) sleep with someone else's wife
b) get your tackle photographed (and it's either huge or tiny)
c) vomit in a public place
d) get involved in a fight

So, keep it in your trousers/stomach and you should be ok.

nb cravats are not cool
