Thanks ladies and gents for all your input. So I guess I am going shopping!! going to be interesting seeing all the alternatives to black we can come up with.! Not too sure about TonyH's neckwear though!!

Perfect. Very nice.

I think I might slip back into a black number for BTaP. But the turquoise I wore to another black tie do last week did look very nice, really shimmery.
