Let's hope so Nick, would be nice to see you and the crew on the way up there

It was good to see you again on Sunday, if only brief. I'll send you that mail shortly.

Right you lot ... let's get down to it and sort out the when's and where's...

Ed you better start tapping in the route on your sat nav and we might get there before Saturday without crossing too many fields on teh way

NCS, where are you lot heading... what route?

Ladies and Gentlemen,

As I'm leaving the S at home, you needn't worry about the satnav playing up. That tight-lipped madam is relegated to the boot when I'm in the car....

So worry not, I'll be navigator for the day as long as Ed obeys my orders....

Mel

(There's only room for one of us in this Speed Six.... )

should i be concerned?

i realise the implications and will have to play catch up of course

Lisa

You say where & when & we will be there. I think Surrey are travelling the other way round the M25 so we will come through Dartford Tunnel to see you guys.

I will arrange a meet south of the river if you tell me what time you need us to meet you & where.

Did that make any sense?

OK, How's about meeting up at the Birchanger services on the M11/A120/Stansted junction at 11:30, then leaving at 12 to arrive at the hotel around 2ish.

I know a bit of tunnel action would be nice, but it's a 30 mile detour to go through the Hatfield underpass, so heading straight there would probably be better.

What does everyone reckon?

Ed, sounds good to me... I'll be there!

2 points... 1) There's an OptiMax garage there!

2) Keep LEFT on the speed bumps! as they are a bit less steep... S owners beware...!

Is J30 the Lakeside exit? If so, probably around 11.00am.

Any good?

This all sounds great. If we all aim for 11:30 at Birchanger that should be fine - knowing how we usually end up gassing before we set off I suspect we won't leave before 12.

NCS I know you've got my mobile no. so any problems on route, give me a shout..

Mel, great to hear that you'll be taking over the navigational duties - although I was looking forward to driving over a few ploughed fields (and it gives me an excuse not to wash the car...)

That's what happens when Ed's "other woman" navigates...

You'll be glad to know that not only am I bringing a real-life navigator who will hit me if I take a wrong turning, but I'll also be bringing copies of the route with me, along with a handy map to hand out to everyone!

So no one will have any excuse to get lost and do 180s in the middle of the A10 (not that an excuse is really needed! )

How about 10:15 to allow for any traffic problems on route.

It couldn't be helped Hasler. It was worth getting lost for though and you should have seen the snake like movements when straightening up, true Cerb fashion, love it

Why don't we just take the M1 like good boys and girls, we can leave later, get there quicker and no one get's lost, bit boring but straight forward?? Oh and more importantly, the money we save on fuel can go behind the bar
