Hi, I have a 2004 vectra that has put on the "check safeguard" error on the screen, im led to believe its the alarm sensors not communicating? Would an option be to program the alarm out of the equation? If any one has any pointers it would be a great help

Is it an estate? If it is it's normally the glass sensors on the rear side windows in the boot. Ideally get it checked by someone with Tech2 (VX diagnostics) first to confirm if that's where the issue is. I've got Tech2 and I live on the Wirral. Let me know if you want it plugging in.

If it is the estate rear window sensors, they can be bypassed. Look at the boot trim under the windows and you'll see a couple of torx screws. Remove those and you'll be able to pull the panel away. Not much holds it in. You'll see where the sensors connect to the windows. There will be 2 wires there about 1cm apart. Just join them together.
