Vectra 2.8 Elite auto

neighbour (retired) is 'seriously' thinking of getting one.. 20K on the clock and up for £11K, i think he said it was just over a year old
i think he is alittle crazy considering such a car but since he likes his current vectra (1.8 LS iirc) he wanted something with alittle extra go and a more importantly wanted a automatic this time.

has anyone driven one? what is it like? is the auto any good? and how bad is the fuel consumption?

Don't know if this is too late or not...

If it's only a year old, then it must be the 2.8T, the same engine as the VXR. In Elite trim as well, rare as rocking horse st.

No real problems with this engine AFAIK, other than the mad grin across the face when you plant your right foot

not to late at all, it is in fact the 2.8T, 230bhp with 243lb/ft. not that later model which has 250bhp and alittle more torque.

neighbour wants to check out this car tonight not sure if i can make it but if i do i will report back

i can't believe how cheap it is for a fairly new car!

Dopnt forget, it might be the same engine but will be de tuned.

The early VXR's saw 260 bhp, the latest ones 280...
