End of an era when a mustang gets an Eco boost engine, if it doesn't have 8 cylinders it fails as a muscle car.

Well, that is a big disappointment. OK, nice Camaro-esque shoulders that's been missing for a long time, but, Ford Fusion front, Hyundai scooped doors, old Audi TT sloping roof and a rear end trout pout? The interior looks like an F150 truck.

Is this still without a V8 version for the UK market? I think I rememeber reading that somewhere when it was first announced.

I was thinking about an older (06+) Roush sometime in the next few years, I wonder how the UK model will change value over here if at all. If the V8 isn't going to be an option I wish they wouldn't bother. It may put me off when you see the latest shiny new one on the road all the time.

Tempted to start saving and buy one for keeps. My current car, an e36 BMW I bought back in '98.

But then I look at the pictures a bit more and I see the Jag/Aston roof-line and rear quarter lights and the Mondeo-esque front lights and start to change my mind. I do see a profile similar to the '64 models so why couldn't they at least keep the headlights of the current Mustang.

I hate these new fangled slashed lamps but I suppose it is something to do with European laws allowing cars to be seen from the side.

So would a 2015 Mustang, looked after and kept in decent nick, demand a good price in 2032 when it's time for me to be retested

BTW Deffo a V8, non of this Eco-Tech nonsense.

Just some video of one on the move. I'm now thinking that it looks very Cayman-esque from the windscreen back but with the aggressive Mustang bonnet and grille.

I think the cost to buy the V8 model will put a lot of people off, can see it being somewhere between £40k-50k

Ouch! but I think you could be right. Been reading discussions about how Ford should price the car in the UK and if the V8 is putting out 420+ bhp, that's the current M3 territory and more powerful than the basic Porsche 991.

Saying that, Chevrolet were selling the V8 Camaro in the UK for £35k.

I hope it's not silly money as I really fancy the idea.

It appears that, by around 2017, they want to have 2.3l turbo, a 3 plus liter Eco Boost, and a 5.0 Coyote V8. Later specialty engine options ranging from 500-650hp seems the theme.

So you can preorder the new Mustang on the 24th of May. 3 days time and there are only 160, I think, destined for the UK.

Still no prices on the mini site or the posters advertising this.
