Should I? '66 Mustang

Always fancied a Yank but not a garage queen. Needs to be used day to day, hence my posts about getting something modern, even the new Mustang when it gets here in 2015 but this caught my eye on eBay.

A '66 Mustang to be used. What do you guys think.

Thanks Zubair. What do you think it's worth. I see he has already turned down 3 offers on eBay but as he's not too far from me, so I thought turning up with a fist full of cash might do the trick.

Prices are 'on the up' so see what you can get it for (if you don't mind driving a tatty looking car). If you want a presentable car to take to the odd show, you'll need to spend a good few grand (paint,interior, engine bay) and once you take an old car like that apart there will no doubt be hidden nastys to empty your wallet.

There are much tidier cars out there for a couple of grand more, so it depends on your budget really and what you want from the car.

It's not that long ago you could get a tidy 289 coupe for under £10k, now mint coupes are being (ambitiously?) advertised for upwards of £20k, but they'll never be worth the same as a convertible or fastback.

I've got 2 66 coupes for sale, a straight 6 car, that needs nothing and is really nice condition for £10500 ono, or a 66 302 auto with american racing wheels and a few go faster bits, also nice but not as good as the 6, i want £12,500 ono.
