looking for a mustang any views

hi all never had a yank car, seen a 99 mustang convertible really nice done around 125k its 3.8 v6 pretty much immac but i have no idea what to look for apart from the obvious, any views also should i be paying over the 3k for one have no idea on values help and advice really welcomed thanks all

V6 suffers with head gasket problems.

If it's a Jap import, a lot of the V6's are, has it had the gearbox fluid changed.

If its immaculate, it could be a good buy. Quite a head-turning car for £3k = especially with a change of wheels. Check the rear of the hood for leaks round the rear window, a new one with glass heated window will be around a grand including fitting

Is it definitely a 99 'new edge' car? ie squarer headlights and tail lights as per my blue car which I've owned for 9 years

Its hard to gauge prices as there aren't many to choose from, but at that price you shouldn't lose much when you come to sell it. Get insurance quotes first, as some companies quote silly prices if you haven't had LHD experience.
