Yellow can look very striking....... this is one we're currently working on for a customer:

That certainly looks good. I'm erring toward Race Red; keeping it simple and easy to clean as it'll be a daily driver. Certainly interested in some 20 inch wheels from you though (I already dislike the lack of choice OEM)

I went into Ford last week to buy a Mustang and expecting a 9 month wait, instead I took someone else's cancelled order and it's due here in 4 weeks eek It's the exact spec I wanted but comes in guard grey

Thought Guard was a deep green, the closest they had to the 'Bullit'' Highlands Green .

I popped in to my "local" dealer in Eastleigh yesterday. They have a race red manual fastback with the premium pack demo, a yellow convertible (2.3, and sold) and there was an Orange car out back (customer).

I'm going back on the 20th to test drive (first Saturday I can take my wife along). I was sold on the Blue, which is now off the order books - they advised I get my order slot and pick the colour later. Has anyone else done this? I'm happy with Race Red (black wheels and interior) if I no other choice. I'm trying to avoid grey/black in this country. Ruby looked awful on a Ford Galaxy but lovely out in Florida (again, weather methinks) but some of the new colours sound nice, but I've no pictures... <sigh>. They also said they had no idea new colours were coming, which doesn't fill me with confidence...

Anyway, looking to order and get on the wagon asap - loved it based on what I saw and heard (with some mods perhaps) and I don't expect I'll hate it to drive (full disclosure, I have a Monaro in the garage and my wife's S5 is the older v8 so we're expecting to like this too).
I also popped to the same dealer yesterday. Took the red fastback out and have placed an order.

I haven't decided on colour yet. Hoping to wait for the my17 colours before setting on one.

Loved the orange fb, gutted they won't sell me one!

I placed my order in August and have been told that the build date is February 23rd, I was wondering from the experience of others how long is it from build to arrival at dealers.
Thanks Mick.

This is where it gets slightly confusing, I was under the impression it was guard green but the paperwork says guard grey. You can Google both colours as they both seem to exist but every picture seems to show a different shade of grey/green combination. It's just lucky that I'd happily drive one in almost any colour biggrin

Guards is a greeny-grey. Not to be confused with Magentic, which is just grey smile

Forever!

Ordered min 15th April 2015. It's been built (12th Jan), not languishing at docks waiting to be shipped. Approx 57 days from gate release to dealer apparently. Mine's almost 30 days into that already.

Mine was built 28th Sept 2015 but not gate released until at least a month later and finally arrived at my dealers at the end of the first week of Jan 2016.

Originally ordered 22nd Jan 2015.

That's a weird way to get to Baltimore, maybe he was fuelling up or just popped in for a Philly Cheesesteak smile
Back on track now, on his way round the corner to Baltimore.

Yeah I thought I'd sale down that canal past Chesapeake City......checking on Google Earth it looks capable of taking a ship of that size, but lots of bridges so maybe height is the issue..

Was in the Ipswich Copdock Tesco this afternoon and John Grose have a yellow V8 on display. Looked fantastic, even in this crappy weather. Unfortunately there was no one about from the dealer so I couldn't get a close look inside.

Need to get my man maths calculator out!

Does anyone know how frequently the ships sail from Baltimore?
My friends V8 is apparently at the docks awaiting the next ship but we have been given no time scale.
Any ideas on likely landing at UK dealers?
Thanks,
A J.

I don't think anything built in 2016 has got on a ship yet, they still seem to be dealing with December cars... Mine was built 12th Jan and is still yet to be assigned a ship. It's pretty much what I'd expected to happen having been waiting almost 13 months now...
