So who has ordered the new S550 Mustang?
Discussion
Finally managed to actually get some contact out of a dealer.
The only available thing to demo is a drop top auto... Is it really so hard to have a manual somewhere to test?
Deposit at the ready, I'm trying to actively give money but Ford really don't seem interested.
Had bad enough service with a previous Mondeo ST220, it's like pulling teeth.

DS - how does the Mustang compare?
.
They are very similar to pilot (early days) both feel like you are directing a missile onto a straight road to have a squirt, the Merc probably more so as it scared me in corners (dam you bridgestones)..
The SL55 was a labour of love, I had a CLS55 as a daily and when it went I missed the engine so I got the SL55 (the treat car) with the same engine. I always have blue cars unless unavoidable and finding a blue SL preferably with SL65 split rims was hard to say the least. I loved that car, the start up burst is addictive and only really happens from cold to the full extent, its performance ridiculous its tail waggy, its suspension worrying but when clean it looked glorious. In my time I had one failure of a rear parking sensor but I carried out lots of preventative maintenance inc suspension bleed (have you seen them dance to bleed it through?) however it was getting old and I dont really do classics so I sold it in 2014 and replaced it with a E500 convertible that had loads of gadgets but no soul - it was an everyday car when I already had an everyday car.

Magnetic and saddle.
Great choice
Thanks. When we got to the dealer today and saw the colour we weren't sure about our choice but once we got her home and when the sun shines it's a great combo.Great choice
Love the way it drives and love the simple switch gear. I drive an A8 during the day and does my head when changing settings as you have to go into the computer.
We recently purchased the Jeep summit got both for less than a Range Rover who needs Europe or a trade deal.
Simple switchgear :-) one of the economy measures is that the wheel controls don't do anything on the touchscreen, I wanted to turn the bass down a bit it took me ages and whilst driving my fingers often press the wrong buttons.
A lot of the sync features are under several layers of menu and it has a few gimmicks that further complicates stuff but it matters little as 3 days in and I, my kids and even the Mrs love it.
