Well after trying very hard my kids (6 yo twins) just hate it in the back of the car with the roof up, we have 2 electric cars and this is the only petrol one for family trips so it has to go (I have thought about a cheap runabout but dont really want 4 cars) - it was 900 fun miles redface(

That's like saying you only last 30 secs in bed so why not jerk off instead
if you can't walk 2 miles, i love my car, but 2 miles you are taking the mickey
I feel sorry for you, that you can't walk 2 miles, how old are you?
you are looking at 16 mins for 2 miles,
but it's your life, so your choice

My point wasnt you can't walk it - the point is you have a brand new top car so enjoy it.

This has taken a tangent - put the charge down mate you're on the wrong thread for your point of discussion.

You'll be pleased to know I'll be driving 60 miles a day in mine...
that's nothing my missus drives to work half a mile away , due to being late getting up every morning.
And a bit lazy

Although it's almost impossible for my teens to be in the back, I still insist on using the Mustang instead of my old 3-series. Boy do they cheer when I opt to use the older car.

My 10 year old is snug as a bug in the back of the Mustang. Is it because of the child seats? Thought the convertible had a tiny bit more headroom.

Shame they didn't also do a coupe version, as in the old '65 shape roof, as well as the fastback.

That will also make your order 2-3 weeks quicker, as they need to leave the factory to be striped... its outsourced.
Are you sure about this? Is it the same for the black painted roof?

Thanks for the quick reply. Love your Mustang, great color combination. Do you have the black painted roof on it?

Real shame.

Does that cost include petrol?

I lost similar on price for the same length ownership of a new Boxster 987. Worth it.

I managed to run my Grand Marquis for 8 months for no cost including fuel and insurance. Now that is what I call green motoring biggrin

Anyone wanting to skip some of the wait - I just cancelled the order I placed in April.

GT, fastback, manual, lightening blue, shaker pro, heated/cooled seats, ebony leather.

Build date 2nd October so probably delivered early 2017.

I'm guessing your talking about 1st year road tax ? When I enquired with dvla they said there were no refunds on 1st year road tax !

Went over to the Trentbridge dealer in Nottingham and test drove a GT and an RS, I'm now the proud owner of a bit of paper that says I've ordere a Grabber Blue Mustang GT so can't wait till next year rolls round. I'm spending most of the first 6 months out of the country so actually hoping it'll arrive July time or later which is what I've told them, even if it means they hold off on putting the initial order through.

Quick questions, can someone let me know what the centre console looks like without the heated/cooled seats and also if with Sync 3, I'll be able to use the navigation from my iPhone rather than needing to spec up the navigation option?

Congrats - lovely choice

How did the RS compare against the Mustang?

RS felt less refined in terms of the drive, probably due to me having it sport mode, but I definitely felt more confident and comfortable putting my foot down in the RS than the Mustang. I've driven hot hatches before so the RS felt normal, it is a Focus after all.

Cheers good to know - nice to have a bit of edginess hey.

Was the Mustang an EB?

Having driven both the 8 and the 4 I'm keen to hear what others think.

The 8. Asked the dealer how many Mustangs they normally sell in a month and what the ration is, normally do 3-4 Mustangs a month with 2/3 being GT.

Had some mods done to mine recently at Modurstang (great guys) namely painted the door mirrors, side skirts, front lip and rear diffuser gloss black to match the roof. Changed the bonnet for a Mongoose (imported from US). Swapped the exhaust for a Magnaflow Street. Also had the underseal re done. Anyone living in the UK should do this.

Good morning. Very excited, just received an email response from Stacey at Ford with my allocated vin number. I have been on the ETIS site where it says my build date is 30/11/ 0002, I presume that means 30th November.
Does anyone know how I can view the window sticker for my car ? Or is it just to early
Cannot see anthything about it on ETIS or any of my spec?

Thanks

Mark
