I don't think he does either lol,

Is there a set quota as to how many mustangs are coming too the UK? Or are the ripping money out of everyone and by 2017 they will be as easy to get as a Ford KA?

I can see the final number of Mustangs making it over here being higher than the figure originally envisaged by Ford due to the unexpected enthusiasm of UK buyers, but I don't understand the comment about them ripping money out of everyone unless you mean the deposits issue, which as DSLiverpool has pointed out, is down to individual dealers.

Lol. You're in the market for a "£30K coupe" and you're choosing between a TT and Mustang? Really? I'd love to know how many people are genuinely trying to make that choice right now. Even worse than the Autocar review mentioned above saying how you could pick up a used M3 or Cayman for the same money. SMH

Personally I don't think ANYONE buys one of these new Mustangs instead of something else; they're buying it BECAUSE it is what it is: a brand new, RWD, V8 from a major manufacturer that happens to be Ford. I couldn't care less what else is available at this price; I WANT the Ford.

Had this car been anything other than a Ford, I wouldn't be buying it. I'm an unashamed Ford fanboi and the fact this happens to be a Mustang is just the icing on the cake for me.

The only thing reviewers should be comparing it with is other brand new, RWD, V8 coupes for £35K; oh, what's that? There aren't any? tongue out

Don't get that 'ripping money' comment either. Take off the 20% VAT and compare with USA costs. Bear in mind the USA prices exclude taxes which vary state by state and can include a luxury tax or property tax as well as sales tax. There is a set quota for any car which the company will adjust according to demand. They are as easy to get as a KA. Right now if you order one, you'll get one. It just takes 12 months that's all. It takes three months to get a Mondeo and they are in full production and only coming from Spain; and you still have to put down a deposit.

Some of the Ford bashing just makes me wonder if people understand the leap of faith that Ford has taken to bring us this car. Yes, they'll make money. If they didn't they wouldn't exist. But I'm getting a RHD V8 Mustang built in the US and couldn't be happier.

So is the Ford "Champions League Competition" a load of Sh**e ?
I understood the premise of the so called "Competition" was the " LUCKY" winners were to have first 500 S550's in Europe ?
Come on Ford please enlighten us !!!!!!!!!!
Fair question. Why not ask Deysha over on mustang6g.com? She posts under FordService on that forum, comes from Dearborn and is as close as you'll get to the horse's mouth.

Agreed. At the moment I can't imagine any committed European Mustang buyers looking at TT's! But in the future maybe potential TT buyers will be giving the Mustang a look, especially in EcoBoost form? If they are diehard Audi/German fans they will think it's pants and won't buy one anyway!

I just wouldn't see it happening at all.

Even if the two cars were identical bar their size, people would choose based on that alone. If you're looking at a car the size of a TT then you'd be looking at similar sized cars since it's a relatively small car, therefore size is a bit of an issue.

Some of the cars the Mustang is being compared with are quite frankly ridiculous.

Hmm Audi TT or V8 'tang? I actually love the new shape TT but to a oval fan there is no comparison. I've already sold my Cayman in preparation for the Ford, it just has to be done!

Beautifully put.

The problem with most Mustang reviews is that they don't have a star rating for the true things that matter in the decision - things like Soul, History, Presence, Iconic.... Airy fairy words which actually, are far more powerful and deep meaning to us humans than TTFSI etc etc..

I wouldn't wait over year for an Audi TT. In fact, right now there is no other car i would wait that long for apart from the Mustang. Why? it's because of those words.

Yep, i get it's objective, and not everyone feels the same, but shame on the reviewer for not acknowledging that there are more soulful buyers out there than those on Audi's forecourt.

Has anyone here seen the mustang colours, I'm planning on ordering mine but unsure on colours, I like the ShadowBlack and Ruby Red but I worry how the red will look in the UK, also not having seen the interior colours in real life, what's the saddle brown like and ebony? I was really hoping the Recaro buckets would be an available option waaaaaah!

My local dealer has a saddle with white exterior GT. I like the seats in the flesh yet for some reason you can only have saddle with certain body colours.

Why do they do that?

I've ordered Comp Orange. Seen it in the flesh and it's awesome. Photos just don't do it justice but you can't have saddle with it.

Taste Police. It's to stop people ordering, say, Competition Orange and then wanting the interior in Saddle. tongue out
