Also, check out this UK RHD production schedule, also from same page... timescales seems a little conservative given that there are UCL cars already built:

A few teasing RHD pics (DIB Ecoboost) are on Kent Mustang Facebook page today.

"After the Mustang RHD went into production last week, it has now been spotted in the metal at the Ford ?#?GoFurtherAfrica? event today. Our first deliveries are expected around November for the first existing orders and showroom unit, we currently expect any new orders to be built in March 2016 after existing order bank."
Interesting.... I'm sure you couldn't select saddle interiors with the blue paint when I tried the other day.

/edit, ah didn't realise that was in SA

My order was April 16th! So looks like I'm waiting until next year if that schedule is correct.

Yep. I'm hoping this is just a 'worst case' forecast to allow for any delays and to set expectations which can then be improved upon...

I'm happy to wait as I'd prefer to have it on a '16 plate!

Still no pictures of the position of cup holders/hand brake in RHD models!

If that's the case mine must be in the Demo/Showroom batch as mine's supposed to be built on the 26th of this month.

The console will be identical to LHD as they haven't drive handed it IIRC. There's loads of pictures of those.

My dealer recently informed me that my build date is 14 Sept and I am expecting a Nov delivery. The date of my order is ambiguous as I paid my deposit on 22/01/2015 but my order may not have been received by Ford until several weeks(months) later. I guess I will know in due course.

Congrats!... Given you have a build date it looks like the dealer didn't sit on it long, if at all...

I have seen those pictures too but thought that these are pre-production photos. It would be bad if Ford didn't invest in the revised centre console. Which other car has the hand break situated on the passenger side?

French ones, maybe not the greatest price point comparison (though some of the newer Meganes otr prices are near the ecoboost) but I know they don't bother to switch a few things over for the RHD cars including handbrakes.

Yep, this has been mentioned before and some Jap cars are the "wrong" way round too.

It's hardly on the passenger side is it? Just slightly left of centre. Hardly worth £200k+ of tooling for the RHD numbers involved. I'm happy that it still has a conventional handbrake.

My Grand Cherokee has the handbrake on the other side of the centre consolsmile..... But as it's an auto I just leave it in park anyway.....same as I will on the Mustang

My Mk3 VW Scirocco has the handbrake in the same position as the LHD car too. So the Germans can't always be bothered either.

The SN95 Mustang has the handbrake on the wrong side for the Americans.

Thing is, the S550 Mustang has a very wide transmission tunnel so the reach is a little too much but that is not the main problem. It is the cup holders (I never use them) which will get in the way of gear changing if you have your pint of milky coffee in them and it's where you rest your arm as you sit very low in the Mustang.

Just had this from my dealer:

"We are looking at a start to build date of 24th August with an ETA to dealer around 14th November."

As I've mentioned in a previous thread this is actually a problem for me because my current PCP car doesn't go back until March 2016. When i originally went into Ford i was told delivery would be Q1 2016 which was fine but now they have brought it forward i'm a bit stuck on what to do!

I have a solution to this. smile

Just need to get off my arse & sort it out.
