Ive got the Roush Axle Backs (ordered from US)sat here waiting for the car to arrive.
I had these on my last Coyote engined Mustang and the sound was awesome.
After seeing (and hearing) a 2015 at Barnsley last week, the Exhaust mod really is a necessity

Do you know whether fitting them will affect UK warranty?

Much that I love the sound of those Borlas, I'll wait and treat myself in 3 years time. I'm going to enjoy this car and drip feed myself mods to keep it fresh biggrin

I got one! I got one! I got mail form Ford, hurrah! Only took them 6 months.

I'm personally not worried about the 5bhp, more so that they might be prepping us for a bit of a delay... Overall it struck me as a bit of a guilt trip from their marketing folks, probably prompted by them getting increasing moans of poor service / lack of contact from disgruntled buyers.

As seems typical, the more you read the less clear things become.

Does anyone know what type of LSD the rhd cars come with and if they're all the same? Some discussion on the mustang6g forum seemed to suggest they vary.

There is a choice of diff ratio in the States, plus the performance pack comes with a Torsen diff. The Torsen would have been my preferred choice (I think the ratio is the same as the UK cars - off the top of my head I can't remember) but, along with a number of other performance pack items we're not getting, the Torsen diff isn't an option in the UK (we get the cheaper - viscous I think - option .... why could that be I wonder?). Other than that, I believe all UK cars get the same type of diff - maybe the ecoboost has a different ratio, not sure.

Ecoboost & GT have different rear end ratio and neither of them come with the Torsen diff.

The production details for right-hand-drive cars have been released as the first cars roll off the line at Ford’s Flat Rock plant in Michigan, USA, with 100 ‘early bird’ customers – who placed their orders back in May 2014 – expected to receive their cars before spring 2016

Yeah. If it wasn't for the below contradictory line I'd be swinging from a tree by now:-

"buyers who opted for Mustang Fastbacks could receive their cars as early as November"

Quote from an article in the online version of Autocar;

"Ford of Britain boss Andy Barratt said: “We are now sold out beyond July next year, although that’s not a reason not to go into a dealership and buy one. I will do my very best to ensure we look after every single customer in the right way." ...."

Shame the first 1,200 people who put down money without even seeing the car weren't afforded the same courtesy .....

Basically an update of an article which appeared back in Jan, and still contains this unsubstantiated little nugget;

"The 5.0-litre V8 will be upgraded to 500bhp within 18 months of the car going on sale ...."

Full article here. Some hilarious and totally ill-informed replies in the 'comments' section biggrin

They've been 'sold out' for 12 months since day one. No change there.

We were afforded the same courtesy. They said they'd look after us in the right way. They didn't for us; and they won't for them. Seems fair to me. biggrin

What are people's thoughts on this??

The Mustang will be the first new car I've bought since 1985....(XR2)smile...Back then there was no such thing as GAP insurance and suchlike.
So thoughts....Is it worth getting, or is it a waste of money? I'm not risk averse, but I'd hate the idea of something happening that wrote the car off, and then find I'm going to have to add ££££ to the insurance payout, to replace itfrown

When I paid my deposit back in Jan I specced GAP as part of the deal at £499 IIRC. I'm going to cancel that since I'm pretty sure I can get it a lot cheaper, but the thing that is niggling me about it is....it's all very well getting 100% of the money back if something happens but what use is it if you can't get another car for over a year?!

The purpose of GAP is to enable you to buy another identical car, but in this case that won't be possible.
