Once it's built you can go to:

https://www.etis.ford.com/vehicleRegSelector.do

Stick in the VIN and expand the features list on the bottom right hand side. In there you'll see stuff like "Less Hood Scoop" and "English Export RHD Owner Handbook" which defines what went on in the factory for that specific car.

The list raises some questions as it's not very clear, but it also answers quite a lot too.

There's a new (and more detailed) UK brochure due out imminently too i believe...

Hi Guys,

First post on the site - what are your thoughts on the below:

I am leasing the car through my own company via a broker and pushed for the evidence of the order a while back.

After chasing the broker for an update they say the build date will be QTR 2 2016 which is a little disappointing...

Is that realistic from your experience and has anyone else ordered around 15th April 2015?

Thanks for any help idea

That seems really odd. As mentioned in my earlier post i ordered mine on 10th April 2015 and it has been manufactured and hopefully will be with me end of Nov/early Dec. It seems like it doesn't matter when you ordered the priority list is all mixed up.

That is what I thought - lots of mixed messages and have had to manage my expectations from April when I ordered, for an early 2016 delivery (as advised by broker) but now looking like Mid 2016 :-(

I have been told I am on the 2016 waiting list NOT the 2015 one which is fine but my number on the 2016 list is low and it is a standard car albeit a rarer colour...

I think there was a cut off for the first batch of 14th April so I have just missed it I guess!

What have you gone for?

:-) For me there was no other colour - I saw one (LHD) on tour at Evans Halshaw Bedford earlier in the year and it is a great colour - so much presence...

When do you get yours?

Ha. Well it could be December or it might be January biggrin

Once it gets to January I would like to hang on until March for the new reg and better weather so I'm almost hoping for a minor delay. I certainly won't want it sitting at the dealers for a few months.

Good luck with your order and a great choice biggrin

QUIRKESTER i have gone for a V8 fastback auto in shadow black with black interior.

To be honest with you if my dealer delays the car into early next year i would be happy as my current PCP car doesn't end until 1st March. Crap time of the year to be belting round in a V8 power house too! driving

Nice combo....

My expectations are low or are they are just being managed to be exceeded!

I would do a countdown app on my phone but have no idea which date to put in LOL

Bring on xmas then it will be the home straight and need to book some lessons on a track ;-)

So the big Ford news from Frankfurt is the official unveiling of the Focus RS. Bcensoredks! .... was hoping they might announce the GT350 is coming to the UK.

In related news, I'm hearing that Mustang delivery dates have slipped again. Early UCL cars not now expected until early December.

3.55 Ratio... Performance Pack? Performance pack is 3.73? Hood vents under standard equipment? This is all very confusing, still no solid specification, and I thought it wasn't called a GT Premium anymore but a GT with optional Extras?

If were all honest do we really want our new car in Nov / Dec ? I would be happy with March which is where I am told my early March order will now be as its a soft top. 12 months from date of order

It was interesting that Ford didn't even have a Mustang on their stand in Frankfurt until 2nd press day! They have a Race Red V8 manual fastback and an Oxford white Ecoboost auto 'vert.

First time I've seen the premium trim (silver wheels and chrome window trim) and it looks good - but best suited to the darker colours I'd say. Chrome trim fitting wasn't perfect, but panel/body alignment was fine.

The DRLs are a tiny pair of lights, part of the white lens under the bumper above the fogs. Such a shame we don't have the lit gill lights. I had a good poke around under the bonnet and if it's possible to activate them - it's not obvious how. Looks like the lamp units have HiD packs integrated with them.

Whilst I was poking about in the engine bay, I noted that whilst we don't have the strut brace, there are a pair of braces from the strut towers that link back to the bulkead. Not sure if US models have these in addition to the strut brace, but reassuring to see that there's some form of stiffening for Euro spec cars (so UK too).

Interior so much better than S197, with nothing that really jars.

Had a proper look at rear seats/legroom. Not a lot of headroom as found buly others and seats really for children only.

My only dislike is the rear decklid cover in gliss black. This attract grubby fingerprints and will likely scratch in no time. The GT badge looks out of proportion too - would rather have the pony emblen. No doubt aftermarket will provide a solution.

It's certainly made me look forward to getting mine even more.

PS. The silver dash (brushed alumnium effect) isn't as bad as I thought - but would still prefer the machine turned one from the PP in the states smile

RHD units have started to arrive in the UK, I was told that Ford had a tough time getting their Press Cars ahead of the original customer orders. I would imagine they will be with the dealers soon,

Yes, as you say, I would imagine the first units are press cars - I assume Ford must be planning some kind of big launch event.

My dealer (whom I have heard very little from, but when I have heard he has been pretty much spot on with everything to be fair) says demonstrators will arriving around Halloween. Has anyone else heard anything different? .....

That sounds like the K-brace and is in addition to the strut brace. Needs to be modified with some supercharger installs.
