So who has ordered the new S550 Mustang?

Just looking at routes, our cars are coming from USA to Spain to UK possibly 2 sets of customs but either way I anticipate as its xmas that they will be further delayed as its peak import time at docks UK. We will ALL get letters in 10 days or sooner with an update as the templates have just arrived at the dealers from Ford.

That makes sense. I've just checked the list of UK orders and none of the VINs are P8A or P8E.1FA - Ford motor company

There's quite a few vehicles at Flat Rock now.Anticipated shipping time to dealership is 12 weeks once they've left Flat Rock. Once the vehicle has cleared customs and is loaded onto the ship in Baltimore, customers should be informed of the vessel name which will allow them to track the progress.

A lot of people over on Mustang6g seem to think it's Baltimore to Zeebrugge for undersealing then on to the UK. Spain is a new one on me ..... do we know why they're going to Spain? .... or are some going to Spain, others Belgium? Yet another exciting Mustang mystery! sumpoil said:

Maybe for Spanish customers? However, Ford have a well established supply route from Spain (where Mondeo, S-Max, Transits and Kugas are built) to the UK so it's not as daft as it might sound. Free migrant in every boot.Edited by slowhand99 on Friday 9th October 14:32

Spanish customers cars going to Spain?! ..... don't be silly, this is Ford! The Spanish cars will obviously be going to Germany first, the UK ones to Belgium, the German ones to the UK and the French ones to Spain Edited by slowhand99 on Friday 9th October 14:32
Finally heard off Karen. Mine is built & en route to Baltimore. She has said once the boat name is known she will email details to me. The route she has said is Baltimore - Zebrugge - Portsmouth - dealer !!

Interesting as all Trust Mustang guys had a brief this morning about the "letter" format to go to customers and the possible xmas customs issue - it will be telling weather Karen or the dealer is correct.I've got a Etis ref number being TH2G5212343

Possibly both correct? Some may be coming but some could be later? Spoke to my dealer yesterday about an update. He said i should be getting the car in December. This has now slipped from late November. He said "at the moment it's at the dock in the US waiting to be shipped".
I've asked him to let me know the name of the vessel once he has that info because then i will be able to track it's progress myself.

The first vessel departed from Baltimore yesterday and is called the Ivory Arrow, it can be tracked on www.vesselfinder.com.
Hopefully some of your cars are on there.
ETA: Ship expected to reach Zeebrugge in 2-3 weeks, with a further delivery time of 5-6 weeks after that.

It's an M2, apparently. £44k for the base car with manual 'box, probably more like £50k for a decent spec ..... and there's a line-lock function - how irresponsible! It's amazing how many folks on the discussion thread think that it's 'great value'! .... at the risk of sounding like a broken record (again! ), at around £55k for a fully loaded 350R (so more power, faster, better looking and better sounding), where would your money be going?!
I'm pleased to have the BMW and others on the market. Especially as people are paying the higher price. Remember, this creates a market. If nobody was producing performance two door coupé/fastbacks then residuals would be awful. The guy who wants the BMW but only has £20k provides our second hand market.
Personally I like to have some form of exclusivity which I think the Mustang brings. I have never liked BMW's and this looks like any BMW in the car park to me, just with a bit more flair. We know it will be a sound motor though.
p.s. Just got my 'Window sticker' - My GT will be built on Wednesday 21st October!!!

I'm in the US at the moment and, having seen every colour and trim combo in both coupe and convertible, can confidently say that no-one will be disappointed, it looks great!
I was torn between Deep Impact Blue and Ruby Red. Plenty of the latter here and in the bright sunshine looks amazing, but, still have. niggle that our weather won't give the same 'pop' to the colour.
Have yet to see a DIB on the road here, but have seen at a dealer with custom pack trim. Can't wait for mine
