We've now got our V8 GT manual in red and a black convertible V8 for the showroom. Out of all the colours red is my favourite so far, followed by white.

Mine's fresh off the transporter this morning, picking up tomorrow.
Disappointing they've obviously not been covered with anything considering they've been on a 12 week, 4,000 mile trip. I thought pretty much every car produced these days had some kind of temporary protective covering to safeguard the paint during transit? Look at all the grit on that! Glad I've got detailers going in to look after mine and it's not going to be cleaned by the resident sponge monkey.

Nice one!

Hope you have a great time with it.

Just out of interest, do you know when it landed at Zeebrugge?

Do you think it would be worth while getting all the UCL winners together for a meet up with the cars.

Maybe ask Ford UK to host us at their HQ or something.

But they're inside a ship across the Atlantic. Ultimately it's a mass produced Ford not £100k Rolls Royce and that's the reality.

Personally I'd rather the cover not be fitted.... Especially when the car is being loaded onto a transporter... And if it's flapping about it'd scratch the paint anyway...smile

When you say "winners" !!!!!
Not really sure what we've won ????? Apart from a book and an irrelevant plaque !!!

You have a point.

Not made to feel like winners, not communicated with very well, not even the first to get the cars.

It was a just a thought.

Not Good. Hope it works out well.

What spec did you go for?

Out of interest what number UCL have you been allocated?

I'm number 6, unfortunately nobody knows where my first edition plaque is.

It's an ecoboost just with parking sensors.

It gets delivered to the dealer (they should have it already) along with a presentation box with a model of the car, a key ring, a mug and a couple of other bits I think.

The shrink wrap covers also have a problem of forcing water into the paint leaving marks on it. Right bugger to get out with a hot air gun.

The plaque should have been in a white envelope but wouldn't have been in the blue presentation box. Depending on how many UCL cars there are at your dealer, the blue boxes will all have been in a bigger one with the envelopes inside.

Eurasian Highway. Arrived in Zeebrugge 3rd Nov. If i get the car next Thursday then its pretty much exactly 1 month from arrival at Zeebrugge so any of you who have cars sat at Zeebrugge now you can probably count about a month till delivery....
