I think the dealers don't know diddly. Every person that has ordered has been given a different story.

I suppose it depends on where you are driving most of the time. Lately my V8 Mercury has only been used for driving across London. This gets me 12 mpg.

It'll do 26 on a motorway run and staying ahead of most of the traffic.

I'm not too worried about the wait although I'm 53 this year and starting to lose my youthful looks biggrin

I don't want to look like some old codger in a young man's car. Maybe I shouldn't have sold the Grand Marquis.

Looking at that price list it is even more of a bargain as the 32995 for the V8 includes the thousand quid road tax.

Did you order last year during the match?

No email for me, just a receipt from the dealer for the deposit.

Considering they are 50 years apart, I think it's a pretty faithful modern interpretation of the original fastback.

So nearly got to see one in the flesh today. Was passing through Byfleet so stopped at Bill Shepherd's Mustang garage.

There was a dark coloured one in there but the windows had some sort of milky screen all over them and the shop was closed. I had to scrunch my face up against the glass like a curious school kid peering at the goodies at the sweet shop.

All I can say is that it has presence. biggrin

Starting to think that the Orange I've ordered will be too showy. Starting to like the Green.

I do like bright colours on sporty and expensive cars and I like the fact that an Orange or Lime Green 911/Lambo looks like a toy.

Kind of depends where I drive the car but knowing how the scrotes love keying and damaging nice vehicles I am starting to think sensibly about the colour and that Guards looks pretty classic.

Got bored the other day so looked at the Ford configurators of our European neighbours.

Seems very odd that Ford are offering different options to each country of the EU. Surely that must be a big headache for them?

Why offer Recaros to everyone else but not to the UK? Why is Comp Orange free in the UK but a €700 option in Holland, yet the Dutch get black for free but here in the UK we pay £595. Differing colour prices for Germany next door to Holland.

Would love to hear someone at Ford explain the thinking behind all this along with why the white lights?

A real shocker, but it's down to the Dutch CO2 laws, is that their V8 with no options is £77,000, yes pounds not euros. Also the if you want an auto ecoboost it's £16,000 more than the manual version yikes

Germany, just over the border, has the V8 priced at a bargain £29,000.

Modified S197s look great especially if lowered. I like the look of the 2011s onwards but the first versions looked a bit slab sided to me as did the new Dodge Charger.

Again the later versions from 2011 onwards look so much better.

It's funny how some of the older models, as in the Fox bodies and the SN95s are really growing on me now yet I wasn't a fan when they first came out.

I'm doing the same. Constantly checking for new information. I've signed on with the Mustang Club of Great Britain and Mustang6G forums. Mustang6G is interesting as there are US owners who have the cars already and lots of discussion with European owners who are wondering what they have ordered.

There was a post yesterday of video of a Euro spec GT which had no hood scoops, no dash dials but did have the bigger Brembo brakes of the PP, different lower grill and ecoboost wheels, bigger wing mirrors, oh and those horrible white lights at the rear. There is also talk of the tri bar leds at the front not being activated for Euro models.

Ford must know by now what they will be offering us. I feel a bit miffed as I ordered a US 2015 Mustang with the RHD and expected what I saw in the original brochure. The Ford US boss did say something along the lines of that they were selling the US Mustang to the world but now it would appear that different countries will get different models.

So has anyone been and seen it and will it be doing the rounds of other Ford Dealers? Mine is Guildford about 20 miles away.
