So who has ordered the new S550 Mustang?
Discussion
Well I get mine next Friday I did order a Magnetic V8 with Auto, black leather and custom pack ordered June and due "whenever" but was offered a Black Convertible Auto V8 with light interior just parking, shaker and heated seats. It looks fantastic !! Ill have pictures soon. I said i would never have another convertible but it looks great…..trust me.
First impressions are build quality is good but choice of materials is a bit "retro" the wires for sensors under the rearview mirror are just covered in insulation tape , why no plastic cover ?? But I can't complain the fit and finish of panels etc is very good. Im not altogether convinced that there is a shortage maybe its just my dealer but i was offered 3 choices, more if I wanted manual. Whilst I can't sleep and I'm on a roll I found direct line nearly £150 cheaper than anyone else , they for me are usually the most expensive. I have also kept my original order open but changed it for black coupe V8 same spec as convertible as I now don't like the silver wheels.
Hopefully ill be able to sell the convertible in April when my coupe is available for not a great mark down ???
BTW I'm 58 driving a convertible so its "man in a convertible" Bingo Time.
Ill tick the comments off.

Ordered mine on March 2015; build date March 2016. Feels like a shortage to me. Yes; it's just your dealer. He sounds like a hero.I'm 55 and getting a convertible so I'm waiting for all the same remarks (and mine's Race Red). As far as I'm concerned the last person with a crisis is the one driving a V8 Mustang convertible he paid for with cash!

My dealer has a red V8 convertable in stock. Manual with option pack.
Thanks for that. Mine's an auto otherwise I'd be on the train up there today. Don't know of any other dealers who ordered for stock like yours did; unless they are cancelled orders. Maybe he's the reason we all have to wait so long for ours! Hope you enjoy yours. I agree I think the auto is the best option. I have had several Porches all with PDK and have been given a courtesy 911 Carrera S in manual. It may be me but it totally detracts from the experience It was like driving a NAS car I'm not a good enough driver to make the use of seven forward gears. So stick with autos I'm sure those computers are a tad more intelligent than I……
