Apparently mine is built and in transit, does anybody know how long is involved...... V8 manual, competition orange, black roof and wheels
That is a very subjective question. It depends what stage of in transit it's at. Once it's gate released from the plant it goes on a train down to Baltimore. This takes a week. It then waits at the docks for a boat. I know someone who's car has sat for 7 weeks at the docks without a boat booking.
Once it does get on a boat it's then roughly 2 weeks to Zeebrugge where it's offloaded, undercoated and customs cleared. It's in Zeebrugge for about 12 days.
It the gets back on another boat to Southampton, once it's there the turnaround is usually about 4/5 days to dealer.
A smooth logistics process would be plant to dealer in about 6 weeks, unfortunately It's right on Christmas shutdown, etc and Ford logistics handling is dire at best.

I've ordered a manual V8 as everybody seems to be jumping on the 'stick' bandwagon these days yet in all honesty I would probably prefer an Auto. Prob is I can't decide if I'll be keeping it for 12 months in which case the resale friendly manual will be a better choice or if I decide it's a keeper then I should probably change to an Auto. Decisions decisions....

If you take my advise, go Auto. I have owned several Mustangs and always prefer manual, however the handbrake position on the S550 is hideous. So if you have an Auto you wont have to use the stupid handbrake.Go get a test drive and you will see what I'm on about !!!

You get used to it, plus it has hill start assist so handbrake is only really used when you park. The cup holder location is more of an issue. Go get a test drive and you will see what I'm on about !!!

Has anyone seen any images of a 5.0 in DIB with Custom Pack?
I still haven't seen any pics of this spec, has anyone else?Centurion07 said:
Thanks but I don't think there's any pictures with the custom pack in there, I've been following that thread for a while now.Centurion07 said:
A 63-page thread full of DIB Mustangs and you think there are no custom-pack ones in there?
There's more than one. I suggest you take a bit more time going through that thread.
Happy to be proved wrong if you'd like to show me an example. As the Custom Pack isn't available in the US, I'm not massively surprised that I can't find any in that thread. There's more than one. I suggest you take a bit more time going through that thread.
ETA I can find one LHD Ecoboost model but that's all. It might be my tired eyes letting me down.

There's definitely more than one in there with the silver wheels. I can't say I was looking too hard for the chrome strip but I've definitely seen them.ETA I can find one LHD Ecoboost model but that's all. It might be my tired eyes letting me down.

Top lurking.
Oh, it only needs normal unleaded.
Yes I know but all the mpg that I have seen from the us were on 93 octane or lower as was the power , I know we lost 4bhp because of the reenginered exhaust , so I was trying to gauge a conversion from us gallons to uk and assuming I would be 98 of 99 octane here I wondered what real life mpg over here people were achieving Oh, it only needs normal unleaded.
Ie 23 mpg on 99 , 17 on 95 etc
Thanks
Yep been a bit of a lurker , but have absorbed an awful lot from afar
Thanks
