Karen has confirmed for me that my car is indeed in Belgium but it will be Jan at least before I see it.

Yeah mate, 14 months sucks and I really can't understand why UCLs and early deposits are not getting their cars whilst others who only ordered in the Summer have them already.

Us UK lot have not had much luck with Cotus but try the Ford Etis page and put in your full Vin number and you might see a list of what makes up your car if you are near your build date.

Hi mate, my car came on the same ship as yours, been in touch with Karen, who has been very helpful, says mine has been custom cleared and fingers crossed will be at my dealers before Xmas shutdown, travelling to Southampton this week, hopefully yours should be with it. Cheers Joe.
Hope so fella. She told me that mine was getting custom cleared but don't they have to have that company at the docks do a sloppy underseal job first?

The VIN I've been given by the dealer is only 11 characters (screen print from Vista) but apparently it should be 17, can anyone shed any light on this?

Ta
Yeah, just add these 6 characters to the beginning of your VIN.

So mines coming over to Southampton today but my dealer still knows nothing although he is expecting a delivery on Monday then that will be it until the New Year.

He told me he has 20 Mustangs sitting around as the owners don't want them until next month. I kind of understand hanging on until March for the new reg but even tho' Jan cars are registered as 2016, they still get 65 plates.

Anyhow I took the opportunity to ask him not to put the front plate holder on. Good thing as they do it automatically it would appear.

My 4.6 was the same on a run. 26 regular as clockwork. Mind you it dropped to 12 on my through London commutes.

That engine is pretty old tech from the 80s so I'd expect the Mustang Coyote to do better if used gently.

All the UK GT models are PP as standard but minus a few bits that the US gets.

Basically we get sports suspension and 6 pot Brembos.

Ooooooo

Having ridden motorcycles helps. No way would I whack open the throttle on a 150bhp+ sports bike on a greasy road, even if fully upright with both wheels in line. In fact it can even get hairy on my 300cc Vespa biggrin

Mine was on the CSCC Asia and the Autostar (arrival Southampton Sat 19th Dec). I've just been informed by my dealer and confirmed by Karen it's due for delivery tomorrow . The dealer has arranged to have it ready for me to collect on Christmas Eve morning .......fingers crossed .

Have fun
Matt
DIB V8 manual fastback, Ceramic + custom pack...ordered 22/1/15.
What a brilliant way to spend Christmas Eve. Unfortunately no news about mine, even though it was on the same crossing and Guildford is barely an hour from Southampton.

Bet you can't wait biggrin

Back in Jan I was the 10th person to ring in and place a deposit.

Puzzles me that the same dealer has had dozens of Mustang arrive yet there is no sign of mine.

Well it's stuck at Southampton in time for the Christmas shutdown.

I'm biased as I have ordered CO.

I had wavered on colour choice until I saw a CO GT outside Bill Shepherds last summer. I had made the correct choice.

I've since seen an Orange ecoboost on a grey wintry day and I still love it.

Mine arrived in Zeebrugge on the 8th Dec and seemed to be turned around quickly to arrive in Southampton on the 19th but has sat there ever since. No word yet on delivery.

Finally!!!!

Just got a call. Car due at dealers tomorrow. I'm busy with work for the next few days, so I'm picking up on Monday. My sales lady sounded more excited than me

She sent me a long list of reg numbers which I studied for ages but couldn't make any of them into words or names, so just picked the one that sounded like the code for a fighter plane.

Just in time for the colder weather, hope the heater is good.

Cheers.

I couldn't help myself and drove out to see it. Sat in it and started the engine biggrin

Sales lady couldn't understand why I wanted the window sticker but she did remove the reg bracket from the boot so it couldn't be accidentally fitted.

Looked gorgeous in the low winter sun and no obvious panel gaps. Underseal is sprayed and prayed on the underside so even the bottom of the exhausts are covered.

Oh well, you have to climb under to see that anyway.

4 sleeps to go.

It carries on. Mine finally arrived, almost a year after ordering, at my dealer on Thursday.

Unfortunately I could not pick it up this current weekend as working but I have a whole day off on Monday.

Excellent they said Monday it will be.

Had a text earlier today saying 1615 Monday. End of the fekin day, so much for my day off on empty roads. It'll be dark and very busy by the time I drive away.

Just called them and they are adamant that they are trying their hardest for Monday evening citing that it's normally 8 working days from delivery to when the car is ready.

Really??????

The V8 is more than double the UK price over in Holland. Did you buy it next door in Germany?

Love the ceramic bonnet. Didn't know that it was an option.
