Ford UKs own terms and conditions dictate that you pay the price at the time of the order.

You must take delivery within 3 months or longer if out of your control.

Meant that mine was 2k cheaper than the current price when I got mine.

So five weeks and 3000 miles into ownership of a race red GT and I'm loving it! (Just got a job working away for a few months in the week hence the mileage)

Love the attention it gets and the people that say hello and want to see it makes it good fun

Also just discovered that it has keyless entry! Doh should have read the manual properly but nice to find something I didn't know about

For those tempted to do a quick handover I strongly advise against that. Ford quality control is terrible in the dealers mine had swirl marks all over it and scuffs to the chrome so a careful check over is recommended.

Sync 2 is the only dampener it's silly slow but it's not enough to really annoy when the cars as much fun as it is! Can't wait to have some proper tyres on it, these don't inspire any confidence, back kicked out on a dry road with a 2nd gear blip approaching a mini roundabout, recovered smoothly but was unexpected to say the least!

Enjoy!

My Coupe is ready for delivery. No doubt ill be going through the "this is what I should be paying" malarkey. Problem is I also have a Black Vert GT with all the extras that I cant sell privately. I have made a half hearted attempt to get rid. Anybody got any ideas as to what I should be asking? Details: 2300 MILES Black, Convertible, Dec 15, One Owner, Ceramic, 5Ltr, Auto, Parking, Shaker and heated seats.
Any advice gladly taken, thanks.

After first driving a V6 rental and then bunch a number of S197 rentals in various guises down the years, I've been hooked on Mustangs. Originally I wondered about importing a left hooker from the US, but domestically 'er-indoors refused to drive something with the steering wheel on the wrong side. That didn't stop the hankering and with the RHD cars coming, the solution was clear if not a little expensive...

So after saving hard for past few years, yesterday I put down a deposit on a V8 auto fastback in Magnetic with Saddle leather (with Custom pack) with Peoples in Edinburgh. Grinning like a Cheshire cat here! Quoted 9/10 months delivery. Apparently they've sold more than 100, and I was order #5 yesterday.

Fricking delighted!

For those worried about Sync 2, don't.

You'll play with it at first then forget about it.

I hardly touch mine now and do wonder why I wasted the £795 on the Sat Nav when Google on my phone is far superior.

No time for touch screens especially when you are driving the car how it should be driven.

That's the usual equation of how much do you need offset against how fast you need to sell. If you put it up for what you paid then that's less than list is now and the buyer gets it straightaway. Ask more, it takes longer; less, it's quicker.

Just tried the only one on hire currently, it's pretty impressive to drive as a GT, I'd far rather have than a regular Merc/BMW until you get to C63/M4 prices.

Another buyer here, placed my order with Hendy Ford Eastleigh on Saturday,V8 GT fastback Manual in Grabber Blue, upgrades: Climate seats/Shaker pro/reverse sensors and black over top stripes. Sticking with the black wheels.
All in was 37K OTR. Now the very long wait begins, have insisted it is a MY2017 car with Sync 3. Quoted delivery is 9-12 months, been told to expect 9 but Ford are being cautious as order volumes are increasing.
This is my first new car, really excited, can't wait for my build date to come through.
Also have a question pending with the delearship over impact to warranty when i get them to fit a Roush or Borla catback, hopefully Ford will be sensible about it.

Only thing stopping it selling (in my opinion) is the colour as all the dealers had black verts an have sold them to people wanting black verts I guess. Have you tried facebook? I just sold a car simply by putting it on my timeline and offering £50 to anyone who sent it the eventual buyer.

Excellent! Interesting to see which will come through first between yours and mine. I think we'll be safe regards to the spec changes including Sync 3 for the 2017MY, apparently June 2016-on build cars will be the first and ours will be easily be December onwards. That's according to some of the posters on other forums.

Cool, winner is first to post pic of the offending item at the dealership. kind of hoping it will turn up late March, registering in April will mean the new tax rates will take effect. If it's earlier then so be it.

Nice
Ordered my Grabber Blue with stripes in March still waiting for a colour swatch to come into the garage
they are on back order. The one in the picture has the Black Accent Package on it which is available in
the states at about $1900 perhaps they could offer it over here which would be nice.

My insurance company just said £44,500 yesterday when I insured it - I think it's a little cheaper but not much

So roughly a £2k saving over buying new for a used car from a private seller who can't offer finance or part exchange?

Sorry, but I think you're being overly optimistic on its value. What have the dealer offered in part exchange? I'd be surprised if it's much more than £30k.
