I just went to my local dealer to inspect my car and pay for it and found that my front wing has been painted due to it having a chip on the wing in transit i also found a dent in both rear quarters and a dent in the boot lid and bad paint work on the rear bumper infact the best part of the body work was the front wing they had painted im gutted by the time the car is right it will have had a respray on a brand new car anyone else had damage like this on there cars iv also had to wait 2 months extra so far because they ordered my car with the wrong spec the first time and was already built before they noticed so had to reorder a fresh car iv had nothing go right and the lack of customer relations and information is a joke
Mine has a resprayed patch on top of the rear nearside haunch. There is a darker shadow in the paint about the size of an iPhone 6. I didn't spot it for a few weeks after I got the car. I already loved it and have put it down as a birth mark since there's no way I'm giving it back to the dealer to mess up and most people can't see it even when I tell them where it is. Sounds like you are being fobbed off with a reworked car to cover their previous error. I'd reject it unless there is some significant compensation. There are enough cancelled orders around for them to find you another.Iv ended up excepting the car with a discount of £1200 and 2 years free service and the 3 small dents i found im going to get dent master to sort out Then i will flat the hole car down and buff polish up like glass luckily im a car paint sprayer by trade lol

Nice, i've gone for the saddle interior also. Makes the wait even harder when you keep seeing others pictures and also starting to see some out and about now on the road although still not many.
Another Magnetic/Saddle here! Auto with the custom pack. Into the realm of crystal ball gazing as to when the keys will be pressed into my sweaty palms...slowhand99 said:
Through the window (which can be opened from the remote).
But cant close the window on the remote, so when he climbs out of the window, after putting the car into the container, the window must be at least left half open for the journey that would be a perfect job for me, only 5.6 and 10stone, as been told only shortasses are used :-)
Hi all, it's been a long time since I have posted on pistonheads, not since I gave up TVRs. I now have renewed excitement with the ordering of a Magnetic grey GT manual mustang. Unfortunately it will not be here until April next year, I think, who knows, the dealer certainly doesn't..
I ordered it in April, but still have not heard a sausage, looks like thats par for the course. Suppose it's all part of the excitement.
It's like waiting for Christmas, trawling through all the accessories that I want, boring the life out of the missus GREAT.
Bet the police didn't have to wait a year for theirs??.

I am so tempted to send them and email to se if they know anything as phoning them up isn't a pleasent experience.
I too have found the whole purchasing experience very underwhelming. The trouble is, all these salesmen are not interested in something that's a a year away. All they are interested in , is the here and now. They want to sell the focus or fiesta that' is in stock so that the the commission is in next months salary. In most cases by the time the car arrives the salesmen would have left or been sacked anyway.
This will never change, due to the fact that we are buying an enthusiasts iconic car from volume supermarket dealerships.
I have now got the email address of the sales manager which I use for any queries, not that I am hassling, far from it. In fact I have only had one issue which he sorted sharpish after 3 days of trying to get the salesman to call me back.
Anyway, still very excited. Let's hope they have ordered it

You should offer your expertise as a service to others...

i might have a customer cancelling a manual 2.3 fastback in yellow with custom pack if anyone wanting one as its in stock and the guy hasn't picked the phone up for 3 weeks now or replied to my emails.
If you get a grey/black GT fastback cancelled I'd gladly take it off your hands. Going to put an order in in the week or so, just umming and ahhing over manual vs auto.Gassing Station | Mustangs | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
