I personally prefer the auto because the centre console hasn't been redesigned for RHD meaning the drinks holders get in the way when changing gear and the handbrake is too far away and awkward to use.
Hadn't thought of that thanks! I've driven autos for 4 years now and as much I enjoy occasionally driving my girlfriends manual fiesta st I don't miss driving a manual in stop start traffic so was leaning towards auto.djc206 said:
I know it's pistonheads blasphemy but I'll be PCP ing so ideally need to buy from a ford dealer to get a decent rate. But I'll save this thread just in case thanks!!
As per my thread I got an unallocated GT arriving in 3 weeks. The dealer group I got mine from have quite a few others arriving soon, also unallocated. Post here or DM me if you want their details.bigblockmark said:
I too have found the whole purchasing experience very underwhelming. The trouble is, all these salesmen are not interested in something that's a a year away. All they are interested in , is the here and now. They want to sell the focus or fiesta that' is in stock so that the the commission is in next months salary. In most cases by the time the car arrives the salesmen would have left or been sacked anyway.

True- my salesman was honest enough to admit this- they don't see their commission until the car is delivered so I assume they would much rather spend 5 mins selling a Fiesta 1.0 rather than dealing with picky customers spending almost £40k for commission they may never see.Mark

(Ps. I really want to visit NATS, can DJC206 fix it for me)
We have guys visiting Maastricht all the time, shouldn't be too hard to organise something reciprocal. Your procedures guys will probably have the details of how to formally organise something but if you have no luck there I'll ask my watch supervisor next cycle how to go about organising a trip.(Ps. Sadly after waiting 15 months for the bloody thing its just not practical enough - I cant get the kids in it for any sort of journey and as it was to be our only "petrol" car it has to go - lets see what the market is like.
Very healthy I'd say. The one in the dealership I was in today had a £2k premiumGassing Station | Mustangs | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
