Sadly after waiting 15 months for the bloody thing its just not practical enough - I cant get the kids in it for any sort of journey and as it was to be our only "petrol" car it has to go - lets see what the market is like.
We found our lads aged 13 and 15 fit in just fine including a recent 1200 mile trip to Europe, however if you take a look Skoda Preston they are banging out Yeti SE DSG's for £99 month.

We are returning our Renault Zoe EV as its just too much off a faff to have a second car limited to a 58 mile range..... EV's proper waste of time at present until they have a 200 mile range and / or on board recharging.

That's a shame seems like you went through a lot of pain waiting for yours, I placed my order at the warrington trust before finding this thread frown and when i read through this thread i remember seeing your car parked outside the showroom at least i think it was yours as it was a blue rag when i went down to see if they had any in so i could check out what they looked like in the flesh along with a yellow, black and red hardtop so got to see most of the colours in person before deciding on Shadow.

I also have two young kids also but this thankfully will not be the main family car. Planning on buying a Honda Civic for that duty which the wife will drive and use at weekends, sure you will have no problem moving it on as they are like hens teeth at the moment smile

What's the average mpg that people are getting in the V8s? I appreciate it's going to be on the low side, but I'm wondering if it would be ruinous to run one as a daily driver.

I don't have mine yet but having looked on Fuelly it ranges from 'hey that's not bad' if you're just enjoying the cruise, to 'ooh look, single digits!' If pressing on regularly.

I'm expecting 20mpg for me.

A lot of Mustang owners use the car as DD, on my old S197 was around 18 around town and 23 on a run, and this car should be better. But of course its how you want to drive her
This rev matching on the auto box is so cool, but its going to kill me on petrol
its a V8 Mustang, baby, she will want to fly, when you open her up, you can feel she is actually thanking you

Just heard from dealer that my V8 gt 550 has arrived at the dealership and collection day is 30th June. Can't wait as been a lifetime goal since my mate had a red 67 fastback 289 (SYT 7F) back in the day. My brother also owned a '72 AMX Javelin V8. I managed to pick up a cancelled order last month. It's a race red auto V8 with all options and black alloys. Very excited.

24 for mine over the first 2000 miles. 90% cruising, 10% hooning.

I would be well happy with 24 as an average although we don't obviously buy the V8 for its mpg. I am on holiday in Florida at the mo and it would help if fuel in the uk was 52 pence a litre as it is here.

Could the Welsh police have ordered one?

That's ace.
Always wanted one of these.
I'd love a yellow one with a black bonnet.

Placed my order 30th April, checked with the dealer early last week and no build date given yet. the wait is painful and there is around another 7-10 months to go yet...
