Good morning. Very excited, just received an email response from Stacey at Ford with my allocated vin number. I have been on the ETIS site where it says my build date is 30/11/ 0002, I presume that means 30th November.
Does anyone know how I can view the window sticker for my car ? Or is it just to early
Cannot see anthything about it on ETIS or any of my spec?

Thanks

Mark
When did you email Stacey, I'm waiting for my VIN number. There is a guide on mustang6g on how to decipher all the information, without my VIN I haven't had a look yet.

I sent the message about a week ago, to be fair she replied straight away but got lost in my spam box.

Not to worry you but somebody had their car turn up at the dealer, window sticker was accurate, all paperwork was correct...but the car didn't actually have the 3 options that had been ordered. Just saying.

Could go the other way, order base spec ecoboost and get GT with the 3 options.

Hi, I think the date on ETIS is just a default until its confirmed. I found COTUS (www.cotusb.ford.com) much more accurate and you can see how the car progress' down the line from order allocated to in transit and delivered.

Mine was built on the 7th October and is now at the docks in Baltimore

Hi, thanks for info, great site. Looks like my car's on the production line now, although according to piston heads news, the factory has shut down for 10 days, due to excess stock and a fall in orders (worrying)

When do you think your car will arrive at your dealer ?

Hi,

Now that's a difficult one smile, the next 4 vessels leaving Baltimore are on the 20th, 28th, 31st October and then the 10th November and so if it gets on one of those then I would hope to receive delivery during December. I have asked the dealer not to touch mine and so am getting it "dirty" and have a detailer lined up for a new car detail with quartz ceramic protection and then its down to Moderstang for underspray and a couple of bits and bobs so December could be an expensive month lol

I know some cars have been delayed at the docks for some reason and so it would not surprise me if it ran into January

As the owner of a new Focus RS I jumped at the chance of driving a V8 manual 240 miles from Scotland back to Yorkshire yesterday.
After 4 hours of driving I am still not sure what I think about the car.
Its big, very big & I felt uncomfortable on country lanes, which is where the RS is in its element.
Cruising at 80mph its pulling just over 2k on the rev counter, which is great for fuel economy but when you put your foot down, nothing happens!
Once you get on good A roads & stir the gearbox a bit it feels more alive.
An auto might be better suited to the V8.

Visually its lovely & got lots of attention from some bikers at the local Shell station, but ultimately I think my RS is a lot more fun, the big Mustang is more of a cruiser.

6th is basically an overdrive. That's why you can get great mpg at motorway speeds. I've had 37mpg for traveling a quarter of the M25. You can put your foot down in 6th and speed will slowly build, like a locomotive. Great feeling on an empty motorway late at night but if you want instant response you need to change down.

In 5th, it's a different animal. As well as when you put it in Sport+. Makes Normal feel like Rain/Snow mode biggrin

After owning mine for 10 months, I do feel that Normal mode is still too soft whilst Sport+ is more how the car would be if it wasn't for all this new-fangled tech stuff.

.
you should try it round the roads of Essex, and on a LHD
It is a very long wide car, its a Mustang baby, its not going to be no short ass, at least with these mirrors they fold in. On the S197 they did not, and if you got caught, could cost £100s and that was if the broken mirror never hit the bodywork
Once I got caught by a lorry on a bend, lucky had the roof down, so the mirror banged against the inside of the car and not the paintwork
I just drive slow, and have everyone swearing at me for holding them up !!!

Still not sure why people think it's big. Sure it's bigger than a Focus but the new M4 looks huge, as does many other what one would have called a mid size car back in the day.

My e36 looks positively tiny these days.

When I went out for my test drive I didn't find i large at all, didn't feel any bigger than a mondeo/insignia size car, maybe arriving in a Defender made the impression different.

on checking, a couple of inches shorter, a couple of inches wider than a mondeo, about what I'd expect for it.

Willsit, I am sure you are correct but when driving an S550 it felt a lot smaller than the Camaro. That means the Gen 6 Camaro is actually smaller than the S550. Hmm.

I find it can be all down to seat and steering wheel position.

If I have my seat at it's lowest, with the wheel set as if I'm in a Nascar racer, the Mustang feels big. Seat high in an almost 4x4 position staring over the long hood and it feels small.

My first drive in a Crown Vic, I was surprised by how you are seated so high and thus have a much better idea of the car's size.

Meant that within a few days of getting my own Mercury Grand Marquee I was chucking it around London's tiny streets as if I was in my e36 biggrin

Hi
It would appear that my car is now ready for shipment too , although the vin isn't yet recognised on the shipping companies site. Looks like I will be getting it a lot earlier than I thought.
Moderstang for me too for a wallet caning excersise .
Out of interest, what area are you from ? I am in Herts and also looking for a good detailer.
