The £1600 kit is additional over the full Roush system. I'd be interested in a switchable exhaust, but not at a cost that's north of £3K. Plus that kit allows you to tailor the exhaust note exactly to your preferences. Don't think I want anything as fancy as that.
£3k is a decent holiday so selling that to the gf would be impossible so I'll just have to wait and see.

My dealer is nowhere near as proactive as yours, not heard a peep. Assuming mine will be similar I'll wait until March then.

I ordered mine mid-April 2015. Was told if I wanted a new build it'd be August 2017 or thereabouts, but the spec I asked for just happened to have one already in the queue to be delivered in May 2017.

Fast forward to November, and the dealer tells me my car's here already. It's still MY17 with Sync 3, so no complaints from me...!

Picked this up and drove it to work. Admittedly winter in Scotland isn't conducive to a clean photogenic car, and since this is the first car I've ever had that didn't end at the bottom of the rear window, please forgive the gap between the car and the wall... smile

The wait from Zeebrugge to dealership seams vary greatly - mine took a week, others say allow for anything from 3 to 6 weeks!! I hope you don't have to wait too long smile

So, here is mine, could not wait 6-9 months for a new one so purchased this 'nearly new' S550 from an Alfa Romeo dealer in Walton on Thames (they had taken in part-ex).

Now on Airlift Performance 3P suspension and Rotiform 20" SPF alloys.

Pictures from last weeks AutoSport International Show @NEC.

My Magnetic Grey Mustang has arrived. The time line was: ordered mid September, scheduled build in Flat Rock mid November, on the boat just before Christmas, arrived in Zeebrugge 3rd January, at my Edinburgh dealer now. I'm going in tomorrow to sort out the bumpf and am thinking 1st March to drive it away. Mine is an Ecoboost which is not so lumpy on the VED and it's pretty marginal over 5 years and after that is too far away to worry. I am totally happy with the Ecoboost as I want it as my main car for many years, want to take it to historic track locations (Monaco, Reims, Spa, Rouen, Clermont Ferrand, Le Mans) +_Festival of Speed and Goodwood Revival. It just makes more sense for me and I've had a noisy car before, Pontiac Transam back in 82 when I was 28, single, abroad and it was a bargain and more recently a 911 with a dodgy sports exhaust (now that was a racket) so the V8 experience has been done, although I can totally see the attraction of the 5.0. There's a great Youtube of a guy testing the Ecoboost for fuel economy (and the 5.0) and I have absolutely no hang-ups with the Ecoboost. I'll be hyper-miling it locally and letting it rip on road-trips. Seems fine by me.

Is your dealer Hendy's?

I spoke to them this week to give them some instructions, no numberplate surrounds and leave the wrapping on for the detailers. I have not heard anything from them in 8 months, everything I know I have found out from Ford.

Yep it is. I emailed them a couple of days ago and said don't register it until the 1st march and they responded same day but they've not initiated any contact since I ordered in June.

They wont, generally, unless you've chanced upon a good one.

As for not attaching the plate mounts; I'd phone them up again, and then again and maybe once more after that to make sure they don't put them on. If your car has already been delivered it may pay to go down there and take the mounts home with you to ensure they don't get put on.

I've heard of more than one person that told their dealer not to put them on and then when they turned up...
