Looks like he is. Whoever originally taxed it will also have had a refund on the £2k first year charge as tax is no longer transferable. Hopefully his price includes VED?

Still, if it's too expensive, it won't sell.
When they were first released, you might have gotten away with this. However, the wait times are down to around 6 months (from a quoted 13 for me) and there's a new model on the way - I just can't see the demand for that premium. There are loads of examples floating about a lot cheaper...

Who knows though!

I didn't think the £2k immediate figure could be refunded ?

It isn't. The refund is based on the standard rate so I guess £140 in this case despite having paid £2k.

Seen a red one today with black gloss wheels are these standard or an option?

Ive been told that mine left the factory on the 9th of May, with a delivery date of late July ... so here's hoping !
Hey there...new to the forum. I'm Kristian, spend most of my time on Mustang6g naturally! Joined here to place an ad for my Ecoboost, which will shortly be replaced by a GT smile

Looks like the 3 of us are on in the same boat (literally!). Mine was built 05/05/2017 and I found out recently it arrived at the Baltimore port on Monday 22/05. It's on the Tonsberg which according to the schedule leaves 01/06 and arrives in Zeebrugge 12/06. So, depending on the turnaround time in Zeebrugge, our cars may be at the dealerships at the end of June! Optimistically of course.

Cheers
Just been told by Ford that mine is now in Zeebrugge with an estimated delivery mid july .... YAY !

I was planning to order a red one with black wheels for delivery when the PCP finishes on my Audi in January. Now I find there's a new shape coming next year, sorry in advance for a!l the questions but it's a big decision for me..
When will they stop taking orders for the current shape?
How much is a red one standard in the new shape? (Mrs won't have yellow)biggrin
If I prefer the current shape will I be able to find one that hasn't been registered yet? (Like the ex demo ones I get off Audi)

The new one (S650 I think) formally opens for orders in the US in mid July with first deliveries in October in the US. I thought orders for the S550 are now closed but you could get an in stock one still.

No prices anywhere yet but I would estimate a 5% increase.

I ordered my 2018 here in Oz back in January price, spec and delivery date unknown. When I say ordered I mean put my name on a bit of paper that says when they can order it they will laugh

The S650 will be the 7th gen Mustang due in 2020/2021, the 2018 will just be a refresh with a bit more power, refreshed look and Ford will probably do a bit better job with the conversion to RHD, so might get a few more options.

I think October will be the first time that the refresh will be built with U.K. deliveries next year.

Sorry my fault I was looking at a translated brochure on the beach in Albufiera Portugal, the new shape is available in left hand drive in Portugal for March 18 with an extra 20 horses (435bhp). Hopefully I will be able to order the current shape in the UK for February 18 delivery

AFAIK the power figures are not yet released by Ford (or has that changed in the last week?) +20-40bhp is the expected increase.
Wouldn't a LHD version of current model be 435bhp anyway? I thought it was only the RHD ones that were 412bhp owing to exhaust differences to accommodate the steering column?

The US forums seem to be banking on 455-470bhp

EU versions are detuned slightly for emissions regs. So slightly more than RHD but still less than US cars IIRC.

Portuguese brochure says new one has bonnet vents as standard, quadruple "effect" tailpipes and 435hp. If it is a 5% price increase it will be Ford shooting itself in the foot taking it over £40k taking road tax from £140 a year to £450 a year

Just been to the garage to finalise everything and got my handover next Friday ... its going to be a good weekend ! mine was a march order too so i guess that gives a good indication of the current wait times.

Great news I hope you enjoy it and managed to get the dog room sorted out on the back seats. Don't have any woofers myself but friends one is small enough to make itself comfortable in the cup holder space.
