I think the UK spec has been 'standardised' compared to other EU LHD markets so that the production line changes are simplified and the most popular configs can be shot through like shelling peas.
This was one of the reasons I ended up going for the custom pack (originally I was just going to have the climate seats). I fully expect the more standardised spec cars to he delivered more quickly.

At least, that's what I'm trying to convince myself smile

With some of you getting some snippets from your dealers, I was prompted to ring mine today.

The sales woman called me back to say that so far there was still no info to which I just said that I understood that it would be Spring 2016 before I would see the car.

She was adamant that I would get it in November this year as I was early in handing over my deposit. The thing is I didn't order until 2 days after the prices were announced.

Considering she said she had no info, how can she be sure?

To be honest I'd prefer a Spring 2016 delivery as it will give me more time to explain to the ex-wife why I went out and bought a new gas guzzling car when I'm always claiming poverty biggrin

Making the second batch in Sept (small initial batch for the CL order people) so 3 months shipping is late Nov I guess.

Had a look round this one on Sunday at Billing! I surprised myself by being a little underwhelmed with the Magnetic paint colour. Need to see a yellow one....

Nothing like a standard UK number plate to spoil things! How many won't be fitting one of these?!

This looks like a neat solution from CJ Pony Parts - License Plate Bracket STO N SHO 2015

Would obviously want to go with a US / Import sized plate

One advantage of getting an import.

I would not imagine the UK cars will be any different to the US ones in respect of license plate mounting areas? Just get some US sized plates fitted on and its job done for a way neater look. If anyone is thinking of doing this just make sure that the dealer does not screw UK licence plates straight onto the bumper prior to delivery - as it is likely that you will then end up with holes in the bumpers outside of the dimensions of US sized plates. The simple request of asking the dealer to stick rather than screw the license plates on to my new VXR8 was repeatedly met with 'we always screw them on' type of responses until I finally got the message through to them!

Never mind the front, how about a nice square UK rear plate scratchchin

I have on retention BO55 DST which I bought when being a knob and thought unuseably but it lends itself to a square plate and BO55 boss is ok on a mustang?

Silver -Manual- V8 - Fastback, ordered with all options - no custom pack.
I was told that all 'Champions League' cars (first 500) were all snapped up in May '14 and will be delivered in October. Apparently cars ordered after that will be delivered from December onwards.
Expecting mine around Jan/Feb 2016!

Yes, legal position, size, font etc. Passed the MOT no problem and it is very secure. It was operated by a small remote under the dash.

Wouldn't bank on that, maybe a couple of months later, latest comms from my dealer (who told me this was direct from the U.S.):-

The first batch of Mustang production will be allocated to FordStores in Vista on Friday 1st May, 2015.
This will include the UEFA Champions League (UCL) orders, as well as the FordStores demo and showroom vehicles.

FordStores will have until Friday 15th May, 2015 to contract and amend the orders to the customer’s specifications.

Each specific order number will be pre-allocated to a specific customer. We will be verifying that the customer details for the contracted orders in Vista match the information you have provided us with through the manual reservation form process.

If any customer mismatches are detected, we will automatically cancel the order in Vista. No replacement order will be provided.

N.B. Customers are still allowed to make amendments to their vehicle specifications (bodystyle, engine, transmission, colour, options) until Friday 15th May, 2015.

Each FordStore will be allocated 1 demo and 1 showroom unit. These demos and showroom vehicles will have pre-determined specifications and will not be amendable.

They will be subject to a separate manual wholesale as part of the May wholesale tour.

3. 1st deliveries RHD Production is scheduled to begin in late August 2015, with the first units expected
to reach the UK in November 2015.

I believe the first batch is for 1000 cars and the second will be for the same amount. The second batch won't be arriving until April/May 2015. I'm not sure what will happen from then.

I'm happy to wait until next March anyway to get it on the 16 plate.
