My other worrying thought, I know I need a life, is that there does not appear to be a UK RHD Mustang at the moment. It would appear that they don't get built until Sept but are not new cars supposed to go through millions of miles of testing before they are let loose on the public?
I'm fairly sure I've seen pictures of pre-production RHD cars being tested so I don't think there's a concern there. In fact I've just found a picture ...

The old vs new video posted earlier has certainly got me looking forward to next year! .... although those extra dash gauges made another appearance and did look v. cool. Fingers crossed! smile
This bizarre review is dated last September so RHD test cars have been around since then at least.

Here are some pictures of the Ford Launch event in Munich yesterday taken by a guy over on the Mustang6g forum.

Apart from RHD I cant see how the UK ones will be different, so definitely no middle dashboard gauges then and it looks like it will be white rear lights too, along with the faux gas caps.

They look good it's just a shame they don't look like the US cars.
For heaven's sake - would it have killed Ford to have one of each colour variation rath er than red (or is it orange) and yellow Fastbacks with black wheels and DIB/Magnetic convertibles with the silver wheels??

Not very keen on the silver wheels now I've seen them with DIB either frown

Seems to be a fair review. Yellow Mustang in the pictures looks like an EcoBoost - unless the Euro V8 does not get the power bars on the front grilles or the GT badge on the back ..

Should change the title of this thread to 'Croyde's Daily Mustang Moan' biggrin

I search the web desperately every day for news about the new Mustang, it has become an addiction. The Ford UK site is useless and unchanged from months ago and the Ford FB page pm service has no information other than contact your dealer but the dealers know sweet FA.

I have just had a look at my dealer's website and it's own Mustang page.

Really fills me with confidence yikes

Hilarious. Loving the mini-pictures - all completely and utterly wrong, along with much of the text.

Ford should be jumping all over this. I thought one of the reasons for only selling through Ford Stores was to ensure that the experience, knowledge and customer service levels were consistent.

I'm a glass half full type though, ever hopeful that one day very soon we are going to get a pleasant surprise with full details on UK specs, build dates etc...

So the latest news is that we will know exactly when our car is going to built on this Thursday the 7th May. And than we have till 15th to change the specs. After that order is locked. Lets see where am I on the waiting list. Booked first week in February.
Hey Targa - have you checked with your dealer today to see if this has happened? I don't have the heart to call mine yet just to be told no news smile

I spoke to my dealer today and came away with even less confidence than i had before! How much is down to the dealer and how much is down to Ford, i'm not sure - but i would say 50/50.

Overall I got the impression that the 15th May is no longer the final date for confirming spec. The end of the month at the earliest he reckoned. However ..... when i mentioned the speculation on the internet with regard to vehicle specification and equipment - specifically strut-brace and additional gauges - he quite clearly wasn't even aware of the items i was talking about (i even had to explain where the extra gauges were located!). Didn't exactly fill me with confidence. FordStore Mustang experts my acensorede! banghead

I'm definitely getting the feeling that basically i've been bull-shcensoredted for the last 3 months and quite frankly i wouldn't be surprised if i ended up without a car weeping. Hopefully this is just me being pessimistic and i hope no-one else gets the same feeling if they speak to their dealer in the near future. In light of the continued lack of any definitive information from Ford, i'll sign off with the usual 'fingers crossed' thoughts going around in my head .... not really the kind of feeling you want when you're about to lash out thousands on a car you've never even seen confused

Just called my dealer who tells me that they still have not had any info but is hoping something will happen by next week.

I think that Ford are waiting for the Europeans to get over their disappointment about all the changes before letting their old friends have a proper US Mustang with RHD biggrin

Thanks for the updates folks.

I'll save my disappointment for another day and not call mine just yet.

On the plus side, with every day that we hear nothing it's another day closer to delivery day, of whatever it is smile.

The order book for MY16 opens in the US on Monday (i think), so i'm hoping the website configurators (US and/or UK) get updated to match. Fingers crossed.

That's impressive, well done to them. I wonder if I can transfer my deposit?

Spoke to one of the salesmen at my dealer, a supposed Ford Store where the Mustang experts preside, and he had no info and admitted that he had never even seen one in the flesh.

He tells customers to go and see Bill Shepherd nearby hehe

Well if he can persuade them to bring their Mustangs to him for servicing and mods. I know I will.
