Hi chaps,

Just to let you know that the PH journos are off to the Munich event to drive the cars - albeit in LHD form.

I've asked them to ask re. Recaros and dash colours and any other UK specific info they can gleam - so hopefully they may get some answers from the Ford team there yes

Some delivery idea would be good - the first batch we know but the second ?

Nice one PH, I'm sure you know by now all the stuff we want to know. It would be nice to find a Ford exec, so they can explain the, what we think are, odd changes to the car that don't appear to be anything to do with EU regs.

Like the Recaros and the weird lower grill supposedly fitted to ACC cars, yet we are not getting ACC, supposedly.

Cheers.

Looking forward to the PH feedback from the test drives

As I too have heard nothing about my order at least I now have something to look forward to! Test drive booked at the beginning of July in a manual V8 Fastback in California.

It's a long way to go to see one up close but seeing as I am there on business it was rude not to;)

I will post up my thoughts as I won't be sparing any horses although appreciate that it will be a US spec car.

Shame none of the pertinent questions were answered frown

Will try to contact Matt (scribe of the piece) to see if there's any more to be gleaned.

All the European and Brit reviews written over the last few days have been very short and haven't gone into any details.

I suspect that Ford simply don't have the UK specific details to give - or won't until the RHD UK press fleet is ready.

So has the Bruce Springsteen cd's ready for their mustang?

I must admit when I first came to the states and bought a 93 GT foxbody, the first mod was cb radio. WTF was I thinking.

It appears that today might not be a good day to be perusing the internet for the latest mustang news. After all, it would be quite frustrating to find next model year's details released in full for the US, loads of options, when we haven't even seen detailed specs for the 2015 UK cars we've ordered.

I just changed the colour for mine as they were telling me I need the spec confirmed this week. I dumped the Magnetic for the black on the recommendation of Mrs unpc and went for black inside too. That'll be 3 all black cars on my drive now. Imagination is overrated IMO smile

I'm not overly bothered by the lack of details from Ford. They are just details after all but the UK launch is not the most professional I've ever witnessed. My dealer John Grose Ipswich) has one in at the end of this month and I was asked if I wanted to come and look at it (not drive). I declined as I had a rental for 10 days last month in Florida so I'm more familiar with it than they are. I still have no idea whether it's coming this year or next though.

Well it seems like we have a new price list - effective from 11th May - which is exactly the same as the old price list .... except it has 'effective from 11th May 2015' written at the top.

Given that today is when order books open for MY16 in the States, I really thought Ford UK would be ready to go with updated specs and an updated website car configurator as soon as the MY16 details were released in the US. Silly me. But to be fair, they haven't had much time to get this organised and it's not as if anyone has pre-ordered or parted with a large sum of money or anything, so you can understand the slight delay rage

My reading of the MY16 is not a whole lot of difference. They can now order the vert in PP form, whereas we already could (albeit with bits deleted).

This sentence on the UK Ford site, which has been there since January or maybe longer, makes me laugh.....then cry.

"Click here to find your nearest FordStore Dealer where our experts will be on hand to answer any Mustang questions you have."
