They reckon it's just for testing on mustang6g.com and I hope that's the case otherwise that's another thing to add to the list of things going in the bin when I get mine! Hmph.

Wow, good spot.

See they swapped the start/stop button over which is cool.

It's quite satisfying to note our US friends grumping that we have options they don't e.g. PP with auto. Slightly levels the playing field.

Hopefully a trick of the light. The Orange looks a bit washed out in that shot.

Definitely a UK number plate mount.

I think the pic that has a bit of washed out Orange was due to the camera being exposed for the dark interior nerd

I'm sad to say that as I have been salivating for any morsel of info about the new Mustang, I was able to blow those pics up on my phone biggrin

The sticker says 2016 and I also notice that the giant mirrors are manual folding. That's gonna be a pain as they will have to be folded every time you leave the car as they are so fekin' big.

I bet the replacement bill is huge too.

The lower grill is the one fitted to the ACC equipped cars but no mention of it or a block heater on the sticker. Tried to blow up the steering wheel in the pic but it gets too distorted to see what is written on the switches there.

God! I'm getting obsessive biggrin

It also says "PWR WIN, LOCKS, MIRRORS" so I'm not going to place to much credence on this being anything like an actual UK spec car.

Please God, PLEASE!

Well, today is (possibly) the big day .... or maybe it isn't? .... who knows? Has anyone heard anything from their dealer (or Ford) with regard to finalising specs? ...... or with regard to anything at all, for that matter? .... whistle

Yup, I just rang my dealer (Allen Ford Northampton)as i'd heard nothing since chasing again last week with the 15th May deadline looming .
He said he was 'just about to call me with an update' ...and had spoken to the mustang team directly:
The Vista production system is now registering cars in the first batch ..these are the champion league comp cars and some dealer cars . All orders taken in Jan this year (mine was 23rd jan) are in the 2nd batch ...not being confirmed on Vista until August frown.....apparently .....
Therefore, and he's adamant after speaking to the "horses mouth", normal non competition winners have no spec to confirm ..and our deadlime is now moved to August ...with possible delivery Dec or Jan ....
However this seems to conflict with some other reports on here .....so would appreaciate any other dealer views ...on non competition winner cars

I think i'm going to relax for a few months now ....as i was looking forward to this week ..and now another let down . At least there'll be hopefully a V8 GT in my spec sometime confirmed this year, with a delivery this year or next year laugh ....as my very patient wife would say "...don't sweat the small stuff ..."
Anyhow gives me time to save up for the Ford sport exhaust , Whipple SC , suspension set up and a whole host of other mods ....and in the meantime all the latest reviews and consensus on the new Mustang seem to endorse the decision to place our orders early ..it's gonna be a fun and desirable car ....and as many people have said ...A V8 icon for £35k ...is still an outstanding wake up call for the UK car industry ....and i'm still really looking forward to it ....at some time in the future ....laughlaughlaughwobbleconfusedarguetumbleweed

Meanwehile I think i'll chase Antony Ireson again .....(I lied about relaxing ...)

Have fun
Matt

..from looking at the Mustang 6G forum , it also appears that the 1st batch could also include some 2014 deposit payers, ie before the prices were released in Jan 2015 ....

so, just to be clear, have any Jan 2015 deposit (and after) had any confirmations of official production entry / build dates from Dealers or from Ford ?

seems to be one step clearer and then some more confusion ...

have fun
Matt

Well I've heard the sum total of fcensoredk all from Ford or dealer. I put my name down on the list around the end of Jan too so I should be pretty much in the same boat .... which will hopefully be docking in the UK sometime next Feb by the sound of it biggrin

Therefore if it's August before I need to confirm spec that's fine, but it would have been nice to receive some kind of official notification from Ford.

Matt, if you do happen to be chasing Antony Ireson I would very much appreciate it if could you possibly find out if there is any chance at all that the GT350/GT350R will be coming to the UK? If they do happen to announce that it is before the (apparent) August deadline I'd switch my order to a 350 immediately, even if it meant waiting another 12 months ..... and if he says no, then i'll do a 'Shawshank Redemption' number on him and write an email every day until he relents type

biggrin

I checked with my dealer because of the believed 15th May cut off to double check the colour of my car (I changed it from Ruby Red to Magnetic) and this is what I got back:-

I asked our administrator to speak to Ford about this and she has just come back to me. She has been told that we actually won’t be able to view any of the Mustang orders on Vista until they are in production. I know that seems like it is too late if anything is wrong but I have had e-mail confirmation that the colour has been successfully changed to Magnetic. You can see it below.

Also, as you know your order is number 124. I’m not sure how quickly they will be building them but my latest order was number 643 and they have committed to build that one this year. Looking at the maths I would suggest that yours will be built within the first month of production. It will then take 12 weeks to be shipped over from America so I would suggest that we will see it in November/December 2015.

I’m sorry I can’t give you any more information but I hope that this is enough to keep you going in the meantime.

Kind Regards

mattus

Thx, I've also had a update, via Ford Directly (Anthony Ireson)...by phone ...I was most shocked ..but pleased...
My order is 442 (seems my dealer took a while to get it to ford ?). Best estimate is this will be produced in a Sept production, delivered ..." christmas time". It will be MY2016 (with Sync 2).
The 3 striped DRL's, next to the headlighst are inactive due to UK (or European) legislation (...they are set too far back apparently) . The DRLs will be next to the fog lights in the lower bumper area.
Stripes will be available to order shortly.
Handbrake and cup holders remain on the 'wrong side'
Dealer will have an update soon. They are trying to coordinate a better coomunciation flow with th dealers.

Also suggested an announcement (in the near future) that the Shelby 350GT will be available (via warranted upgrades) from a UK dealer .....beer

I'm now happy again. ..

...in addition to that, my dealer rang to let me know a 'new Mustang ' (he didn't know what colour , model , spec laugh) would be a Allen Ford Warwick on 27/28th May ....

have fun
Matt

So, for the benefit of the class, can you, Folie & Mattus, remind us when you paid your deposits/placed your orders?

I saw over on mustang6g.com one of the CL guys had confirmation of his car & on the official bumpf it was designated MY2016, for what that's worth.

How can you be getting MY2016 but not sync3? I would've thought that was one of the major differences? confused
